4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Caramel brown....big, fluffy head. Aroma is funky....and fruity. The flavor is dark fruit followed by a nice sour bite. Great mouthfeel.....crisp, but full. My only complaint is the alcohol presence. A few years in a cellar would be nice.

bottle. Typically avoid the Belgian styles as they’re not my favorite, but this was quite good. Very complex

With Z, pours a dark maple mahogany pour with a nice head. Nose is equally divided between sugary malt and sweet caramel toffee. Taste is sweet, with some citrus hoppy notes and spicy yeasty notes. Finishes sweetly with a combination of the fruits and spices blending nicely at the end. A sipper for sure ! Quaff score 8 / 10

Bomber. Pours a hazy amber orange with an off white head and aroma of spices and ripe fruit. Taste is sweet, lots of dried fruits, yeast, Belgian spices, and toffee with brett notes into the spicy finish. Complex, nice brew

Liquide opaque, ambrée avrc une belle mousse laiteuse. Un intéressant hybride habité de marmelade et aux accents minérales profonds. Les malts de spécialités font un excellent travail de complexification.

Served on tap in a tulip glass
Appearance – The beer is served a darker amber reddish color with a small off white head. The head fades rather quickly to leave some spotty lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is fruity and tart with a good level of funk. The fruity smells are mainly of a lighter fruit nature with apple, pear and some peach. Along with these aromas however is a tart and vinegary aroma with some hints of a sour cherry and yeast. Rounding out these smells is a funky haylike grassy smell producing an overall fruity and funked aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with the fruit that was detected in the nose. Apple, peach and pear flavors are complimented with a sour cherry taste and a bit of yeast. As the taste advances, some spices flavors as well as a bit of haylike funk nature. While these flavors persist to the end, the funk and sour cherry grow stronger and are accompanied by some boozy tastes. In the end, with an apple cider vinegar flavor getting more intense, a quite sour and fruity funked taste is left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel -The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average to above average. The slightly higher carbonation is rather nice for the fruity and funky flavors of the brew creating an overall mouthfeel that is very appropriate.
Overall – A decent saison that is worth a try if you get a chance, but is likely nothing that will totally blow you out of the water.

Saint Somewhere Lectio Divina is a well-executed Belgian Strong Ale. Aroma of prunes and plums coming from this dark orange-brown pour with a thick tan head that holds throughout the drink. Taste is heavy prunes and plums with a touch of funkiness. I wouldn’t say Lectio Divina is a standout Belgian ale, but is certainly enjoyable.

750 Ml bottle. Cork blew off this one before I could even touch it. Pours reddish dark with a fruity, berry aroma. Flavor of apples and berries with a little pepper and wild yeast. Finishes a little sour with more dark fruit. This one is different. Not bad at all.
