COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lectio Divina is a cross between an abbey double and a saison. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast at bottling add to the complexity.

A hazed reddish dark amber with a thick frothy mocha head, gusher. In aroma, a sour malt with cherries, brett, dark fruits, fruit sourness, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with fruity notes, cherries, sour yet still good.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy burnt orange body with a small white head. Aroma of apple, caramel, dough, and light herbs. Flavor of apple, floral hops, orange peel, earthiness, alcohol, and herbs with a disappointingly low level of carbonation in the mouthfeel.

Corked bottle from EricAndersNavy, thanks! Amber color, very lively carbonation. Melon, pineapple, grassy notes and caramel in the aroma. Pear, mango, caramel and leather in the malty sweet flavor. Just a touch of alcohol. Leather and pear drups in the aftertaste.

Bottle on the Eurostar to Brussels, thanks to Leighton. It pours deep red-brown, with a thin beige head. The nose is caramel, toffee, wood, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisin and currant. The taste is currant, raisin, plum, prune, booze, wood, caramel, toffee, some brett, nut and spice, with a warming finish. Full body and lively carbonation, but goes flat quickly. Not too shabby, perhaps a bit too boozy and sweet for me though.

750 mL bottle. Pours hazy amber with an average, fizzy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, straw), average hops (flowers, grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of apple, pear, raspberry, and wood. Full bodied, sticky and gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Bottle.
Beautiful, completely clear amber with a small, creamy, white head. Fine duration. Aroma has toasted caramel, light cellar, some fruitiness. Low carbonation, but still with lots of small bubbles. Kinda creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, quite a lot of caramel, some viniousness. There is a bit of spiciness and light peppery touch at the end. Fairly drinkable, though it might be a tad over the top now.
