bottle shared by derek. pors amber chestnut with a thick white heads thats breaks down to a thin foamy head thats lasts. nose is fermented raspberries and tart fruits that have ’turned.’ taste has some floral and pepper notes but generally tastes like what i imagine raspberries past their prime to taste like and even a little chlorine? not a fan.

Great strong saison. Cloudy amber pour with foamy head and lacing. Coriander, raisin, prune. Some Belgian yeast. Finishes sweet with a light barrel note. Bottle thanks to ajax25g at Epic Sour Tasting.

Bottle shared at the GTMW line, pours a murky brownish red with an off white head, the aroma is of prunes and dark fruit with a yeasty touch, flavor is much of the same, decent amount of dark fruit with a yeasty finish, kind of strange though and it doesn’t come together.

Bottle from San Roque in Santa Barbara.

Finally, escape from LA. Brown pour, intense foamy light-brown head that explodes and then curiously dissipates entirely in under a minute. Yeasts drive the aroma, brown sugar, heavy on whatever it is that emanates from the Duchess that keeps me from unreservedly loving that beer. Sweet tart flavor, brown sugar, almost a light Flemish red sort of thing going on, super-yeasty, definitely interesting but sweeter than I’d think ideal. Pretty much what one would expect of a Saint Somewhere belgian ale; definitely not a saison. Quite an interesting beer and well worth trying but not a full-on success.

Slightly cloudy orange brown. Nose is spicy, rustic, some fruit, odd petrol. Taste follows. Muddled as some others have said is a good word for this. Passable.

Bottle from the brewery. Shared with friends. Pours a reddish amber with a thin head. Aroma of lots of sweet fruits and yeasts. The taste was kind of a sweet mix of too many fruits. No real defined taste to it. Very muddled. Sorry...not for me.

Poured from a corked bottle. Deep red amber colored. Vigorous, loose head that dissipated quickly. Lots and lots of fruit characters in both aroma and taste. Otherwise somewhat dull. Its alright but not very remarkable.

Pours hazy brown /red with big fluffy head. Nose is a lot of funky house yeast, raisin, fruit esters, dark fruits, brown sugar. Taste is a touch of berry and sweetness at the top, funk throughout, then it gets extremely dry, there's a flower planty kinda thing going on, and odd hibiscus kinda aftertaste that's also super dry, raw fusel alcohol flavor but not burn. I liked the nose, but it smells much fruited than it is. The taste leaves quite a bit to be desired. Sweetens a bit as it warms. I don't hate it, but not a big fan. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle shared at the DC Epic Sour Beer Tasting. Pours a hazy brown with an off white head. Flavors of tart mixed fruit with some caramel. Tart finish.

Very straightforward Belgian Ale. Thin on mouth feel, pleasantly sweet and very bubbly.

At lakehouse with Taylor, Tyler, Cynthia, and my mom. Pours dark hazy bronze with nice foamy head. Aroma is phenolic, Belgium fruit. Taste is overpowering thick Belgium phenolic notes. Yuck.
