BigMilly8 (373), Holiday, Florida, USA Sep 23, 2007 From 750ml bottle : Pours a cloudy apricot orange color, with and small bubbly head that reduces to the rim. Nice lacing drips around parts of the glass. Nose of complexity.. Bananas, cinnamon, lemons, variety of spices. Palate is amazing, thin but still has good body to it, not watery. Goes down velvet smooth. Flavor is fruity, some citrus and sweet malts. Could maybe use a little more carbonation, but by far the best thing i have tasted coming outta FL.
MaltOMeal (319), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Oct 8, 2008 750ml bottle thanks to mcbackus. Pours a pale golden color with a large white head. nose is of lemon and grass. taste is of lemon, spices including pepper. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with carbonation. dry finish. Very drinkable. I polished this puppy off by myself with no problem. after4ever (1751), Brier, Washington, USA Oct 5, 2008 750. Thanks, BVC! I’ve had unratable bottles of this, but this bottle has to be a lot closer to what the brewer was aiming for. Or at least hoping for. :-) Beautiful cloudy medium gold with a thin but dense white fizzy heads. Nice sweet floral, grassy, slightly bubble gummy nose. Plenty of lace. Creamy, lightly fizzy medium body. Apples, bubblegum, balsa wood, grass, and flowers on the mid-palate. Mild, dry finish. Great stuff. DougShoemaker (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 2, 2008 Soft nose of funky fruit, cloudy apricot, medium sized fluffy off-white head. Taste is a melange of funky fruit, followed by decent malt and subtle spice. Liight bodiied, sour/tart, with a refreshing mouthfeel. Terrific! Thanks Beershine and Oakes. WeeHeavySD (1849), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Oct 1, 2008 Fresh 750 from laroja. Pours orange with a bright white mold resembling head. Nose is sweet and citrussy with a touch of spice. Taste is smooth, floral and citrussy, overall a tasty brew with good notes abounding. Paired with 2 different beer macncheeses so yeah. xmarcnolanx (680), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA Sep 29, 2008 Aroma is sour, funky, sweet, with a subdued spiciness.
Taste is caramel, apples, lots of brett and funkiness, and a bit of spice.
Mouthfeel is very dry, but has a lingering sweet, caramel fullness that rounds it out without being too "crisp".
Holy fuck. This beer is awesome.
More notes:
The sourness is really starting to come out of this beer. Somewhat fizzy mouthfeel.
The head just sticks there like a bubble bath. No great amount of dissipation.
Lots more caramel and apple still with only a hint of the spice (vanilla, lemon rind, earthy hops, cinnamon, mint).
No alcohol present, but perhaps the carbonation could disguise itself as a harshness attributed to alcohol.
This is really, really good.
