Aroma: toasted malts, caramel and a bit of chocolate liquorice

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle. Dark brown with small, grey head. Nose : delicate smoked aromas, coffee, chocolate, wet wood. Yeast. Sip : Strong mouthful carbonation, low density body and creamy texture. Moderately sweet with smoked notes, chocolate. Gets a bit dry and metallic in the aftertaste. Overall it’s unbalanced and not pleasant while swallowing. Not my beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at La Fine Mousse, Paris
Hazy brown color, medium sized head, not persistent. Strange aroma, soil at first, then some roasted malt, pond water, dust. Good body structure; flavor of roasted malt, caramel, liquorice ( too much, the artificial one); at least there is no burnt character; low bitterness.
