Bottle 33cl. label says alcohol 8%. Poured into a teku glass. Clear amber brown with red hue, small frothy beige head, diminishing slowly, light lacing; aroma sweet malty, cocoa, caramel, dark bread, brown sugar; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, chocolate, toffee; middle part roasty sweetbitter, finish full of coffee roastiness that lingers on and on; medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation; very nice evolution of taste, quite good.

Bottle from Saveur. Pours dark brown with off white head. Caramel/toffee aroma with light dates, figs, prunes. Taste is more to the dryer, liquorice side with dates and hints of vanilla. Lightly sweetish finish. Not complex enough to compete with the big boys, but quite tasty nonetheless.

Clear deep amber - brown beer, decent tan head. Palate is airy and slightly soft with decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, reasonably sweet . Milk chocolate well integrated with mild brett. Mellow cappuccino. Tangy fruits, light esters and a little sweet floralness rounds things off. Light semi dry finish with a mild bitter linger. Lots going on here, unusual and tasty.

Very good cream-beige head, dense and stable, leaving textbook lace over red-shot dark brown beer. Sweetish caramel-toffee nose, roasted grains, slight coffee. Bitter, hoppy, near-metallic taste. Ground coffee powder. Again a tad metallic (stannum?) Very slick, near chewy; creamy-velvety texture; well-carbonated. Long bitterish aftertaste, with just a touch of stout acidity. Good brown beer, pleasing.

Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015”. Dark brown, little head. Nose is massive licorice, touch chicory & herbs. Taste is massive licorice, cheap herbal coffee, leaves, touch pralines, dash chocolate in the back. Slick body. Basically just lots & lots of licorice. Not a bad beer but I am just not really into licorice.

Deep brown body, medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, multiple malts, liquorice, light dried fruits notes and roasted malt notes. You should leave it breath for a while to get all the aroma. Flavour of chocolate, dried fruits notes the whole on a fairly complexe malt backbone. Medium finish chocolaty finish, slightly dry and bitter. The whole beer doesn't puch with flavours and aromas, easy to drink and balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
