Bottle 33cl from la Bierotheque, Schaerbeek. Very dark brown color, tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, cacao, caramel. Taste is first sweet with upcoming bitterness, a bit salty too. Notes of dates too. A good brown beer.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A dark brown nearly black beer with a medium beige head ; poor retention. Roasty aroma, herbs, caramel, prune, chocolate, grape. Medium sweet and medium dry bitter ; good balance. Medium body, thin texture, soft carbonation, dry fruity finish. Overall, a really good brown french ale ; interesting palette of flavours.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2015 Looks cloudy and dark. Thick and creamy head. Nice roasted taste, bitter chocolate notes. On the sweet side but with some good hoppy bitterness. Very creamy, average carbonation. A very good belgian style brown ale, or "belgian porter" if it exists.

Eigentlich recht einfach mit seiner brutalen Stärken und der dazu passenden Getreidigkeit. Dazu ordentlich Perlung, mittlerer Bitterkeit, aber dennoch Abend und Gaumen füllend. Nicht schlecht.

Aroma of hops, malt and Belgian yeast with some flowery and roasted hints. Taste of roasted malt, hops, barley, dark bread, wine, Belgian yeast, mild herbs and flowers. Smooth and easy to drink with an high alcohol body and touch. Enjoyed it,
