leaparsons (4001), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Oct 10, 2008 Bottle. Hazy golden orange with a persistent head. Aromas are yeasty and hoppy with biscuit malts and some floral notes. Flavours are light malts followed by lots of yeast. Some citrus acidity towards the finish. OK. JoeinUccle (689), Brussels, Belgium Sep 27, 2008 Half-liter flip-top. Always happy to see hoppy ales with reasonable abv, but the flavor and aroma need some work here. Bright gold beer with serious white head. Nose is floral-hoppy but also a bit skunky. Light corny maltiness with a fair bitterness, some green hoppiness to it but again a bit skunky. I aim to try again soon with a fresher bottle. hughie (2278), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Sep 5, 2008 Cloudy orange gold with a white head. I get some sweet malt in the aroma, but it’s basically yeasty wet dog with leather boots. Taste has a lot of yeast, perhaps too much for comfort, together with quite a brisk hoppiness and a suggestion of grapefruit. There is a lot to enjoy here, but ultimately it’s a flawed masterpiece. caesar (2574), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Aug 26, 2008 Bottled. Cloudy golden color, short white head. Aroma of apricot, some spices, bit yeast, some hop, slight bready. Fruity and bready taste, some malt, some bitterness. Bit dry palate. skortila (2433), Bunnik, Netherlands Aug 21, 2008 Bottled. Aroma has aprikot, yeast. Hazy, yellow coloured with an off-white head. Taste is slightly sweet, has some bitterness, bit spicy, fruity (citrus, aprikot) and yeasty. Nice.
