Bottle 750ml. @ ChrisO Snow Tasting.

Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dry chocolate, dark malt yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130120]

Bottle: Medium sized vast and slowly changing brown head on top of a pitch black beer colored beer Looks really good! Aromas of coffee, roasted malts, hops, coffee roast, light citrus, bit like a deep roasted black IPA. Smells good! Flavours of coffee, coffee roast, chalk, bitter but smooth, floral and hops, roasted bay leaf, bitters, roasted barley mats and some citrus, some spices, some earth. Very good for such low alcohol. Aftertate is of some bitters, roast and cofee and a light chalky spice tone. Low to lightly more carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, good medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy texture with a watery sprinkle. Very good beer, balanced, good roast, low abv, could drink this all night!

4oz pour at Max’s Belgian Fest. Pours a hazy brown with some creamy, white head. Nose is nutty, coffee, light brown sugar, toast. Flavor is the same, dry toasted bread, brown sugar, coffee beans, malt, grain. Dry, toasty finish.

Draft, Max’s Belgianfest. Medium tan head atop cola dark-brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, coffee/roast. Taste is medium sweet, coffee/roast, light grapefruit. Light-medium body, light stickiness.

Tap at Max’s Taphouse. Pours clear dark brown with a medium, frothy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is earthy and spicy hops, coffee and roast malt with dates and prunes. Flavor is malt dominant with medium hops and bitterness, earthy esters with a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

Draft at Maxs. Very dark brown color, thick tan head. Aroma of coffee grounds. Taste is nicely roasty. Light bodied and easy to drink.

Botella. Black colour, small beige head. Sweet roasty malty chocolate aroma. OK mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet with roasted malt, chocolate and with dark fruit and a soft bitterness.

Bottle @ Yespr. Pours a dark brown black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty hoppy citrus and caramel aroma. Fruity roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor with hoppy citrus hints. Has a roasted malty caramel hoppy citrus finish.

Bottle at Yespr’s - Thanks. Black - light brown head. Coffee, fresh coffee acid, chocolate, earthy, citrus, roasted, nutty, red berries, ok bitterness, light finish.

Dark red colour. Very strange and unbalanced beer. Smell of compost. Sourish and a very strange watery bitter taste.
