4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Grima (1863) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - FEB 12, 2012
Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 77ships (2156) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 21, 2011
25 cl. draft @ Delirium Tap House: dark brown with a tanned head & nice lacing – smells sweet with syrup, chocolate, dark fruits & hops, tastes very syrupy with chocolate sauce mixed with dark fruits upfront (lots & lots of plums as well as some prunes & touch of dark grapes), aftertaste is strong almost like cognac-like but only slightly alcoholic but also sweet with chocolate, spices, slight ash, sweet/bitter syrup aftertaste – B: slick, oily, syrupy – great Belgian stout worth getting if you can
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 FatPhil (7498) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 18, 2011
750ml bottle (Alvinne webshop)
6 On opening a fruity estery aroma, but also some acetone. In the glass it’s a bit of a stodgy chocolatey mashiness. Some soy.
4+ Slightly cloudy dark brown. Large dark bready head, fairly persistent. Some bits in suspension are the only downside.
7 Rich burnt taste, quite a lot of liquorice, bitter and barky. Salty almost. Bitterness is quite tangy. Slightly sweet, but well attenuated.
4 Smooth and full palate, pleasant soft carbonation. Finish is very bitter and liquoricey, saccharine as well. Something almost buttery too.
13 Very solid beer. Not so much a typical stout at all. Bitterness and liquorice perhaps a bit over-the top. Covers 9% very well. Glad I had Minna and Janne to share this with, 750ml of too much for two people.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 oldrtybastrd (3228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 16, 2011

Taste sweet, roasted malts, liquorice, bitterness. Nice stout.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (7308) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 3, 2011
Good, reasonably stable, thick-set, dirty cream-coloured head over virtually black beer, if with a reddish sheen. Heavy, aromatic nose with old wood, dark chocolate and an alcoholpunch with deliberate spirit (Bourbon, whisky)character. Superbly "praliné", but with full chocolate. Ashy, dry, roasted malt/stoutflavour with just a hint of alcoholsweetness retronasal. Bit of sweat, paprika, and of course, chocolate, ultra-dry but for the alcohol. Warming up, I seem to get some coriander. Surprisingly thin for its stamina and ABV. Probably very attenuated. This is a dry stout, on the verge of an I.S., and to my tastebuds, barel-aged.

Bottled, thanks baggio! Cloudy near black, rich beige head. Aroma of salted winegums, viokla and licorice. Mid sweet with soft mouthfeel and full body. Flavours of licrorice, marzipan and tobacco. Lots of dusty resiny bitterness. Typical Belgian stout.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Fin (6180) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2011
Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie April 2011 consumed outside Frank (camper) at Camping Igueldo, Igueldo Nr San Sebastian, Basque Country, Northern Spain 04.07.11 Pours murky brown with tan head that is liberally dotted with specks of yeast. Malty on the nose but also quite beefy bit like an oxo cube has been crumbled into this. Full flavoured beer with elements of chocolate, some tobacco, loads of yeast and some fruit. Really likeable beer, I’m well into this. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.7
