Black colour with a beige head. Coffee, roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body and a dry texture. Low carbonation. Rich coffee and roasted malt flavour. Not very fit together with food, but nice in the evening with a good book.

Dark brown to black beer, beige to brown head, unstable, irregular bubbles, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of dried fruits, raisins, mocha, coffee, caramel, sweet brown sugar. MF: soft carbon, medium body, soft velvet like texture. Taste: bit caramelly, lots of mocha, coffee, little sour, some red berries, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: mocha, coffee, bit of caramel, raisins, dry hoppy ending.

Black colour, firm tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, bitter coffee and roasted malts. Light bitter coffee flavour, bitter roasted malts, mocha, loads of coffee. Quite creamy, low carbonation. Coffee finish.
Rather nice, well made beer.

75cl bottle. Pours a pitch black liquid with medium tanned head. Nose : tart, wood, wet laundry, cheese, toffee milk coffee. Sip ; medium density body with creamy texture. Dark chocolate sweet with coffee and nuts flavor, creamy coffee. Some bitter hops on the end. The aftertaste is a mix of aromatic hops and burned toast or caramel with the after feeling of sweet coffee.

Thick brown lasting foam. Dark red-brown color.
Dry chocolate aroma with a dry coffey taste with some dark chrystal malts. Medium body. Low bitterness.

Pitch-black, opaque, roasted malt- chocolate bitter, uncompromising imperial stout, extremely smooth and velvety, with absolutely no hints of alcohol at 9% and no residual cloying sweetness. Took me 2 attempts to get into this one’s slow blossoming taste variety but the 2nd 75cl bottle (bought at the brewer’s MiOrge MiHoublon in Arlon) had me hooked for the rest of the evening/night. World-class, not for beginners.

Draught (Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels) - Black with a foamy tan head. Roasted and chocolatey aroma with notes of cocoa and liquorice. Rich, chocolatey and slightly sweet taste with notes of chocolate, hops, coffee, soap and liquorice. Very rich and full-bodied.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Black with a very nice, light brown and creamy head. Bitter chocolate aroma galore, hints of smoke and fruit. Well-balanced. Dark and mysterious.

Dark brown to black pour, a black body with a nice medium tan to light brown head which changes slowly into a closed and vast lacing. Looks good!
The aromas are almost imperial stout like: liquorice, coffee, dark chocolate, rum, tar and coffee roast
The flavour is coffee, dark roast and burned rubber at first, than it changes minimally into a fine mix of dark chocolate, coffee/espresso, roasted/burned barleys malts, roasted/burned wood, dark chocolate drenched hops/herbs.
There’s an overall good growing bitterness in this beer which results in a long bitter roasted almost burned aftertaste with a touch of dryness.
Low carbo, full body, watery to a light creamy mouthfeel and a light watery texture.
Really good beer; lot of roast, bitterness and a fine body.
