Clear medium to dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, cacao, moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty, barnyard, leather. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate - cacao, brett. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101022]

75 cL bottle, purchased at Delerium, Brussels. Pours hazy and dark brown head with a huge white head. Dark malty, light spiced hoppy and roasted. Roasted malty and light liqourice note. Lingering dark malty into the finish. Smooth malty and yeasty into the far finish.

Bottled. An unclear dark amber with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, alcohol, and a bit of fruit. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, malt, alcohol, and wood, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown with a dense beige head leaving laces. Sweet, fruity nose with some roasted malts and nuts. Solid body, vitamin c, fruit and hard roasted malts, a little yeast a little nuts and quite some alcohol in the finish. 161209

Bottled, thanks baggio! Cloudy near black, rich beige head. Aroma of salted winegums, viokla and licorice. Mid sweet with soft mouthfeel and full body. Flavours of licrorice, marzipan and tobacco. Lots of dusty resiny bitterness. Typical Belgian stout.

Bottle @ Mi Orge Mi Houblon, Arlon. Pours black with a small creamy beige head and lacings. Nose is roasted malts. Some dark fruit, a lot of burnt roasted notes a well as charcoal and ashes. Smooth and soft. Bitter roasted coffee finish. Quite tasty.
