Bottle shared by bu11zeye. Poured a dark amber, clear body with a tannish lasting head leaving some nice lacing. Aromas of candi sweetness, caramel, milk duds and dark fruits. Flavors were candi sweet, burnt sugars (bitter), figs and floral hops in the finish. Aromas were more appealing than the flavor.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cunningham (3032) - Halden, NORWAY - NOV 6, 2012
Black colour with a beige head. Coffee, roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body and a dry texture. Low carbonation. Rich coffee and roasted malt flavour. Not very fit together with food, but nice in the evening with a good book. [Bottle from Mi-Orge Mi-Houblon in Arlon, Belgium]

750 ml bottle in Germany. I got this bottle from Chris himself. Pours murky dark brown with a huge biege head. Dark malty, light herbl hopps and roasted flavor. Roasted malty and burnt wood notes. Lingering dark malty into the palate. A nice beer ends a bit tart for me but still nice.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 madmitch76 (9986) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2013
11th February 2012 Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Semi dry palate, very mild carbonation. Coffee like dark malt, a little spice. A little lactose. Nice subtle fruits underneath. Semi dry finish. All right.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 RoyceH (1180) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - APR 21, 2012
Bottle, Mi-orge, Mi-houblon. Black with thin brown head. Nose is big on the malts, ever so slightly undertoning acetone, ash, plenty of spice, dark fruits, hazelnut, fresh tobacco. Mouth is slightly thin considering the nose, green, malty, liquorice, very heavily charcoaled. Thin end, with a smoky charcoal filling at the swallow. Quite solid, but the smoke disguises the subtleties.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Bart (2938) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JAN 7, 2013
Draught @ Little Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Black coloured beer with a huge brown head. Very nice toasted roasted caramel malty hinted aroma. Full light creamy palate. Finish is slightly alcoholic coffee roasted bitter hinted with a longer bitter roasted ending. Not bad.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 FatPhil (7597) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 18, 2011
750ml bottle (Alvinne webshop)
6 On opening a fruity estery aroma, but also some acetone. In the glass it’s a bit of a stodgy chocolatey mashiness. Some soy.
4+ Slightly cloudy dark brown. Large dark bready head, fairly persistent. Some bits in suspension are the only downside.
7 Rich burnt taste, quite a lot of liquorice, bitter and barky. Salty almost. Bitterness is quite tangy. Slightly sweet, but well attenuated.
4 Smooth and full palate, pleasant soft carbonation. Finish is very bitter and liquoricey, saccharine as well. Something almost buttery too.
13 Very solid beer. Not so much a typical stout at all. Bitterness and liquorice perhaps a bit over-the top. Covers 9% very well. Glad I had Minna and Janne to share this with, 750ml of too much for two people.
