UPDATED: OCT 6, 2014 This micro brewery in the southernmost part of the country has undergone remarkable innovations in their range since 2012, and this is one of them, though it seems to be still the same beer as Sainte-Hélène Blonde. Yellowish white, moussy, opening head and dark bronze colour, misty. Aroma of fondant, coffee grounds, pear, honey, kahlua, candied orange, pepper; taste citrussy in onset with sharpish spicy notes, gingerbread and apple, multi-layered and agreeable maltiness (nuts, caramel, chocolate), granular mouthfeel, finishing with toasted bitterness, peppery hops and warming gin-like alcohol which ends up a little bit astringent - a slight disappointment for something that started off good.

Bottle, BBE 06/15. Rushes out of the bottle as soon as the cap is cracked. Pours an auburn brown with a large, beige head. Aroma is marzipan, pear, caramel. The pear is strong. The pear is dominant in the flavor as well, some marzipan. Fermented fruit and grain overtake strongly in the middle. Surprisingly dry though not much hop presence. Fairly light with strong carbonation.

Barwa: miedziana, wyraźnie zmętniona. Piana kremowa, drobno pęcherzykowa, początkowo obfita, ale szybko opadająca. Aromat: owoce, karmel, alkohol. Przyjemny balans. Smak: słodycz z lekką chmielową kontrą i alkoholową końcówką.
