(Bottle, 0.75 l - BBE 08/2012, at One Pint Pub, shared with brunnsbe, 20120725) The beer poured pale golden and hazy. Its heaf was medium sized and white. Aroma had spices, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were hops, grass, spices, malts, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy and bitter. A saison that had more pils characteristics than the ones of a saison.

Draught Huge, very fine & dense off-white head over clear metallic golden beer; rings of lace. Aromatic hops, faint but pleasing, with rosewater, grapes and slightly (luxury)soapy. Sweet pale malts and piquant, nearly peppery hops. Superb combination, but unfortunatley slightly clashing, rather than blending. Banana ester, with sweetness smothered by the hopbitterness. Quite slick, even film-y. Light to medium bodied. Alcohol not heating, but seems quite present, much more than expected for such a beer. I’m going to shock the Walloon fanatics, but I think Toccalmatto must have had a beneficial influence;..

Draft at Moeder Lambic. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of lemons, hops, and dust. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, hay, minerals, and dusty hops, leading to a bitter finish.

Martinus (2798) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - JAN 31, 2012
Slighty hazy orange blond beer, white head. Very hoppy aroma, light saison character. Fruity, citrus, apricot, quite floral. Light silage and farmyard, touch of spicy yeast. Bitter hoppy flavour on a sweet malty background. Light citrus, somewhat spicy. Rather bitter finish, very pleasant and dry.
(From 75cL bottle @ RBBWG 2012, Antwerpen. Thanks for sharing, Nicholas & Antoine!)
