COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Couleur : Blond or

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with huge fluffy white head. Good lacing. Aroma is big time tropical fruits, nectar, some mild acidicness as well as earth. Flavour is quite yeasty, honey, fruits, earth and some grassy bitterness coming in the finish. Kind of Blonde meets Saison. Rich carbonation, but very smooth while drinking.

Bottle, 75cl. Hazy golden color with a large white head. Aroma sour, bit pilsener like, and malts. Medium body. Taste a bit sweetness (little honey ?), semi-dry, malts, fruity, low bitterness. A very good, normal blonde.

On tap @ Chez Moeder Lambic. Slightly hazy yellow-gold with a respectable white head. Nose full of wet grains, slightly farmy, with some lemon notes. Flavor is light, bready, green and lemony, with a faintly bitter backtaste. Finishes fairly clean with tinges of green hop and lemon. Maybe a little thin but not watery. A nice summer refresher of a blonde with no obvious spicing.

(750ml bottle, BB 12/08) Pours a cloudy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of lemon, floral, and earthiness. Flavor of malt, citrus, and herbal tea.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2007 Bottled. Hazy golden, small head. Lightly spicy and mustardy nose. Medium bodied with clean, crisp mouthfeel, citric and marmelady, notes of peaches. Dryish fruity finish. All flavours remain rather discrete though, giving it a laid back attitude.

cloudy orange colour under a solid creamy white head; aroma of apple and cellar; some grapefruity notes also; very fresh with a rather thin malt body, moderately sweet and a low bitterness; aftertaste of fruit (mainly apple again) and dust

Bottled 0,75 ltr (BB 09/2008). Hazy orange color, small but steady white head, some lace. Earthy, mouldy, peppery aroma - similar to some Fantomes. Very earthy, peppery and citrusy. Long peppery aftertaste. I am not sure if so dominant earthyness is intended. This is maybe more like a saison than just "a Belgian Ale".

Bottle. A touch too thin, but a pleasant flavour. earthy citrus and ppeach/apricot fruit, some light caramelly sweetness, and typical belgian yeast and slightly candied characters.

JorisPPattyn (7773) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 11, 2006
Slightly hazy orange-gold beer with peach shine; good off-white head, rather stable. White candi sugar, citrus, both pale and coloured malts in the nose. Toasted taste, quite sweet, bit of caramel or even toffee, and a pinch of citrus. Retronasal even licorice and a bit of almonds. Quite light bodied, not very highly attenuated. Bit fizzy - or is that the temperature it was served at? Not very high-brow, not much going on in there, with a malt sweetness that is way too marked, making it not very finely balanced.

bierkoning (9999) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - NOV 17, 2005
Mango and a touch of vinegar in the aroma. Hopbitter flavor with mango, lemon and a touch of vanilla. The first sings of sourness are showing. Hopbitter, a bit oily aftertaste, medium to full bodied. Not too bad, could be much better.
