COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Couleur : Blond or
Houblons : Brewers Gold, Pioneer
Température de service : 6-8°C
Verre : verre tulipe de la brasserie

TBone (12545) - Pori, FINLAND - SEP 7, 2006
Bottled 0,75 ltr (BB 09/2008). Hazy orange color, small but steady white head, some lace. Earthy, mouldy, peppery aroma - similar to some Fantomes. Very earthy, peppery and citrusy. Long peppery aftertaste. I am not sure if so dominant earthyness is intended. This is maybe more like a saison than just "a Belgian Ale".

Bottle. A touch too thin, but a pleasant flavour. earthy citrus and ppeach/apricot fruit, some light caramelly sweetness, and typical belgian yeast and slightly candied characters.

JorisPPattyn (7888) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 11, 2006
Slightly hazy orange-gold beer with peach shine; good off-white head, rather stable. White candi sugar, citrus, both pale and coloured malts in the nose. Toasted taste, quite sweet, bit of caramel or even toffee, and a pinch of citrus. Retronasal even licorice and a bit of almonds. Quite light bodied, not very highly attenuated. Bit fizzy - or is that the temperature it was served at? Not very high-brow, not much going on in there, with a malt sweetness that is way too marked, making it not very finely balanced.

bierkoning (10169) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - NOV 17, 2005
Mango and a touch of vinegar in the aroma. Hopbitter flavor with mango, lemon and a touch of vanilla. The first sings of sourness are showing. Hopbitter, a bit oily aftertaste, medium to full bodied. Not too bad, could be much better.

Aroma of Saaz hops and vey phenolic. Honeyed malt with a pleasant tart apple and citric palate.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Very hazy golden color with a largeish head. Slightly sour, buttery, cellary, Czech-pilsenery aroma. Quite ashy, smoky flavor with some grapefruit - not very complex. Medium-bodied, semi-dry, low-carbonated palate. A very decent, smoky blonde. Interesting.

WCCII: Light blond beer with a yeasty rubber wheel aroma. The taste is slightly flat with hints of yeast. Nothing special.

Wheat dominated aroma. Flavor is stongly wheat, with a mild citrus. Thanks to Kasta for the chance to try it.
