Robe blonde, fine mousse. Nez élégant sur des notes de farine, de houblon, légère note maltée et levurée. Bouche fraîche et équilibre, finement houblonnée, avec une très belle amertume en finale. Une belle bière d’été.

Nice to find another dry, bitter blond of reasonable ABV -- they’re still rare, if you visit typical cafés -- but this one uses high-alpha hops and comes across as oniony and overly, resinously harsh as a result. Bitterness sticks to the tongue. Lacks finesse; using more, lower alpha to reach the same IBU might get a smoother, more drinkable result.

22/08/2015 – sample (bottle) @ Gents Bierfestival shared with JorisPPattyn, Sebletitje, 77ships & PriorL Clear yellow with massive head. Nose is grainy, honey. Taste is grains, honey, spices, thin ending.

At GBF. Very thick and rocky, hops-enhanced, sticky, dense, yellowish white head over a cloudy yellow blonde beer. Hoppy aroma with impressions of white pepper, grapefruit peel, flowers, dried peach, white grape; crisp and spritzy onset, restrained fruitiness (hints of apple and gooseberry), sharpish, somewhat ’rough’ carbonation but very refreshing, bit bready, finishing in a deep, earthy, peppery, spicy hop bitterness with lovely floral and even citrussy aromatic qualities, lasting long and drying mouth and throat. Packed with hop flavour in combination with a modest ABV, this comes close to the international session IPA movement. Pleasant surprise.

Huge, fluffy & lacy head over clear orange-golden beer. Spicy nose, some honey, summer grains. Bitterish, grainy, spicy (indeed, slight Orval touches), but ending sorely watery - (petite Orval?). Light body, but slick. Not really great, bit ubiquitous.

Blonde dorée trouble-opaque, sédiments en suspension, effervescence faible, col blanc fin tombe de suite. L’amertume s’impose d’emblée, avec de bonnes notes fruitées et les malts qui se font quelque peu sentir par la suite.

Tasting from bottle at Mi-orge Mi-houblon. Slightly, almost clear yellow colour with a thin white head. Citrus, hay, yeast and fruity aroma. Average carbonation and light body. Taste is quite hoppy with a long dry finish. More bitter than sweet. Overall, nice refreshing brew.
