3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
11.2oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip. The bottled foamed over as soon as the cap was loosened. Luckily i had my glass handy and only lost a half ounce or so. Poured hazy gold with a large foamy head. Smells sweet with notes of honey, chardonnay, and some dusty cellary type stuff. The flavor is a lot like the smell with some added earthiness. The body is thin and super carbonated. The finish has some lingering honey and a metallic note that I think comes from the massive amount of carbonation. It isn’t your typical saison but it isn’t bad either.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From tap at Bierencafé de Heks, Deventer. Aroma is rather malty, soft fruity and spicy notes, a touch of caramel. A bit buttery. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Very dull and forgettable Saison.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Très belle couleur orange, pas beaucoup d’arôme, goût subtile de fruit et fleurs, miel. Un peu fade sur le finish mais ça reste une bière intéressante.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle with Kapusil. Hazy dirty blonde. Nice mellow saison. Very wet not dry finish as Ive come to expect from saisons. Carbonated nicely light hops light tartness. Finish isnt long bit flavors stick around mostly light hops. I like it, though not the best saison ever it’s enjoyable.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33l bottle. Hazy orabge body, huge white head. Aroma of bread, orange zest, pears and doughy yeast. Taste of bread, toast, lemon zest and earthy hops. The finish is quite hoppy. OK beer but doesn’t remind me of a saison.

33 cl bottle, cloudy gold pour with nice white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus and herbs, earthy grains. Consistent with style, has a caramel richness and sour tang, well balanced and refreshing, would repeat.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Helder donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is heel licht friszuur en ietwat bitter. Niet echt bijzonder maar zeker niet slecht.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 25B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L19022017. AROMA: medium_low intensity grainy-sweet malt aroma with a moderate fruity note (citric orange/lemony). There is a faint lactic-like sout aroma that just adds complexity. APPEARANCE: deep gold and translucent. very large white to off-white creamy head with very good retention. TASTE: initial malty-grainy sweet flavor with medium intensity, gaining a honey-like note. medium-low fruity notes of orange-like character. medium-low bitterness that lasts into a dry finish. hop flavor very faintly perceived as floral. PALATE: medium-low to low body with high carbonation and a very present dry finish. no astringency nor harshness. OVERALL: a very nice Saison with all the characteristics within the style, including a nice dry finish without being astringent nor harsh. the hops are very restrained, just adding a note of bitterness to balance the malt. maybe would be more complex with a bit more esters.
