3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sheine (13) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 19, 2011
Not at all what I expected. This is not a dry refreshing saison, but more like a strong blond. It is, however, very enjoyable. It has a very sweet taste, almost honey-like, but also a slight tartness and ends slightly dry. Extremely well balanced and hides the alcohol well.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sebletitje (4002) - Enghien, BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2011
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (6707) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 23, 2011
A hazed blonde saison with a thin white head. In aroma, strong herbaceous character, wheat malt, some citrus peels. In mouth, a smooth and refreshing saison with nice coriander, orange and herbal character (is that the woodruff?), light bitterness, sharp, but overall, quite good. Bottle from Beer Mania, Brussels, 2.50 euros, July 13 2011.

14th August 2008. Cloudy amber brown beer. Slighty odd taste profile. Like a blend of a lemony wheat beer, an amber beer and an IPA! Notes of bubblegum too! Frothy and a dry finish. Not bad but not quite joined up.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 wheresthepath (1010) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2009
[330ml bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring] Gushed everywhere on opening - must have lost best part of half a bottle (grrr!). What was left poured a slightly cloudy orange-amber with a thin off-white head. Moderate to high fizz. Aroma is quite thin - dusty with some cardboardy malts. Tastes initially dusty before lots of smooth orange and malt come through. Generally sweet although there is a hint of bitterness as grass & herby hops comes through. There’s white pepper in the slightly dry finish. Liked this more and more as I went on - so it was a shame I only had half the bottle left.
