RBSG ’05 - 1995 vintage bottle, strong aromas of sour apples and vinegar. the pour was a cloudy mustard color with very little head. not the flavor profile i expected in a saison either, more like a flemish sour ale, leaving a very bitter taste in my mouth after. this isnt what a saison should be imo

Pours moderately dark golden/amber with just a hint of head. An aroma of cork and apple cider, plus some rain poncho. Bad front sour edge with more apple vinegar, some candy like a Jolly Rancher. The palate is somewhat thick but flat.

Cloudy honey pour with a thin soapy head. Lemon yeast nose carrying some funk. Piles of lemon/lime and cheese. Barnyard in the after taste. Sour milk. Like a diet-gueuze. Drying salty finish. Like it: Sure do! Drink it all the time?: Are you nuts?

Bottle. Nose-smells like cork glue and acid. Very flat. Sharp notes of apple vinegar. Very vinegar like all around. Too sour and vinous to enjoy.

bottle. from 1995, thanks Tim. Cloudy golden body with a small white head. Beautiful aroma of tart apples and various other fruits - almost lambic like in all it’s funk glory. Very nice refreshing body, lots of apples, spice, and fruit flavours. Refreshingly tart and flavourful. Age was good to this Saison.

1995: Pour hazy golden yelow with thin white head...aroma was quite perfumey with apples, strawberry, musty, and yeast...taste was funky with oak and pears and apples...tart and dry finish...

2005 RBSG Montreal Friday Night Tasting. 1995 bottle. Hazy golden colour with a thin frothy off-white foam. Tart, citric, yeasty, fruity, and light barnyard aroma. Acetic and lactic tartness, lightly yeasty, with a dry dusty bitter finish. Light bodied, dry, but very refreshing. Nice start to the night...

1995 Vintage sampled at RBSG Montreal: sour woody aroma with the slightest hint of green apple, hazy light gold appearance, sour white grape with extremely woody notes and a slightly chewy finish, tastes more like a gueze than a saison.
