3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange yellow, cloudy beer with a medium and blond head. Aroma is interesting and complex, orange, fruits, apricot marmelade, bubblegum, mint and anise. Taste od fruits, lots of spicyness, ginger, mint and fructose. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation, fresh. Interesting, strongly spicy saison, a good thirst quencher.

Incredible nose, so much going on! Taste is bright, a touch of funk and just a touch of acid - nice complexity and balance here too. A fine, fine saison.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
tap at max’s. Hazy tan-amber, thinnest white ring. Nose is Brett b heavy, lots of cherry, but brown sugar, iron, and light balsamic keep it balanced. Flavor shows more grain and iron at the front, mid has light tea, chestnut, and finishes with paper and more Brett b. Bit full for the fizzy carbonation and soft flavor profile, but balanced and so bright as a result.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
My favorite saison ever, but some batches come out too acidic. This is a cloudy, bready yet spicy saison, but not too fruity or citrus-ey. Always remember to swish it around really well in your glass before you drink it to release some of the carbonation or it will have a rough bite.

Bottle shared by mdfb79. Thanks Dan!
This beer is hazy and yellow with a small white head and little carbonation evident. Nearly two decades in the bottle could be largely responsible for the reduced carbonation level, methinks. The aroma is fantastic, and strongly resembles an authentic Belgian gueuze. So far so good. The flavor doesn’t quite live up to the promise of the aroma, but I found the beer to be quite tasty nonetheless. Funk and barnyard flavors are there, but not as grandiose as the smell would indicate. The beer seems to have held up rather well after sixteen years of aging. Overall, this was a fun beer to try and I would be interested to sample a younger, or perhaps fresh, bottle.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour at Scott’s saison tasting, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought funky earth, slight lemon, hints of berry, slightly grassy and funky pepper notes. Taste was sweet lemon, tart fruit, funk, some biscuit and bread, slight earth, touch of grass, finishing fairly dry, slightly tart as well. This was very nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
75 cl. bottle w/ cap and cork. Unknown BB date but roughly three years old.
Amber w/ fine, lasting head. Spicy, medicinal, oxidized, super dry w/ a slightly nauseating undercurrent of roses past their prime.
Always an interesting beer, although it’ll never be a favorite of mine; no two bottles seem alike.
