1995 Vintage sampled at RBSG Montreal: sour woody aroma with the slightest hint of green apple, hazy light gold appearance, sour white grape with extremely woody notes and a slightly chewy finish, tastes more like a gueze than a saison.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours an orange amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma has quite a bit going on, some good and some bad. Fruity with an emphasis on apples and pears, wet cork, green wood with a mild acidity. The flavor is much of the same; apple, pears, maybe some peach, cork, wood, mildly tart. No funk, dry mildly spicy. This is a weird saison.

Bottle - Corked. A - Poured hazy amber with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. S - Moderate corked, yeasty and sour citrus aroma. M - Medium body with a slick texturee and soft carbonation. T- Medium sweet & sour spice flavor with a medium sour & sweet finish of moderate duration. D - This COULD BE a standout beer.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Hazy golden-orange with a white head. Slightly funky aroma of apples, prickly pears and pears. Sourish-sweetish and really fruity flavor. Rounded mouthfeel. Really tasty, refreshing and unique.

75cl bottle. Orange and hazy with little white head. Nose : dried fruits, with peach, apricot , pear esters. Very fruity with caramel malts. Sip : watery with wine like texture. Sweet and fruity wine like feeling. Dryness of a white fruity wine.

Pours a hazy yellowish/gold color. Aromas of tart fruit, bread, hint of citrus, and yeasty. Flavor is malty/citrus. Leaves a yeasty orange aftertaste

#900! By accident chose a rather good beer for this milestone. Pours rosy, murky brown with virtually no head. Floral aroma. Tart, spicy flavour with a good malty base. Slightly too much carbonation for my taste.

Location: Bottle at Capital Ale- Innsbrook, 9/10/11

Aroma: The nose is wood, booze, some farmhouse funk, and some sour apple/other fruits
Appearance: It poured into the glass a caramel color, with a white head, and almost no lace
Flavor: Tastes boozy and really tart, (in almost a mouth puckering fashion), some rather sour stuff
Palate: This one is fairly acidic, not super heavy body-wise, but it drank like the ABV was higher than this
Overall Impression: This one had a label on it that claimed it was 14 yrs old! I don’t know if that is true, or if the sourness was intentional, but this is some awesomely sour shit, There is sour fruit all over the place. What an odd fine this one was. Is it 14 yrs old? Who the fuck knows? I’m not smart enough to answer that question, but I can say, Dave (dbarnold) and I both enjoyed this one and were confused by it at the same time. Thanks for having this rather interesting beer, even if I find the year on the label ahrd to believe, Capital Ale!
Update: After I rated this one I looked at Dave’s rating and I noticed that he and I gave this the exact same numerical score on all categories, that was not intentional, but something I found amusing as a note, since we split the bottle.
