Pours with a nice sized head and moderate carbonation. Hazy orange color with a tinge of auburn. Aroma is lightly hoppy with a well developed citrus and barny aroma. Flavor is mild but lightly tart and sour with just the right flavors any complexities. All the spices listed in the description are detectable. This is a great saison. Thanks Indra!

Tastes is fruity but also a bit spicy (peppers). Dry ending. Medium bodied. BoBoChamp (654), Gent, Belgium Aug 30, 2008 75cl; from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, yet complex, cloudy, small head, good brew awaisanen (1143), Irvine, California, USA Aug 29, 2008 From a 750mL Bottle. Mostly transparent, copper colored body with a tall froth of rocky white head. Aromas of apple, orange, and ginger peak out from behind a rusty, musty backdrop. Notes of cork and a moderate pedio cheesiness. Light bodied, briskly carbonated mouthfeel with a thin texture. Dry finish, but the body lacks much texture. Flavors of apple and musky melon. The taste of iron comes through far too strong for my palate, giving it a dominating flavor of blood. Finishes mildly acidic with notes of bleu cheese. Not my thing. I recognize that this is a classic example of a historic style, but I just can’t warm up to it. Perhaps this is a reminder that some beer history is more of a romantic concept and the progress made over the few decades has been a wonderful thing. BuckeyeBoy (1130), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 26, 2008 Bottle Vintage Brewed 07/1994 Bottled in Jan 1995. Pours out a hazt copped with orange. No head. A little flat after 14 years. Aroma of spice orange and some sweet fruit. Tast of oxidation. But plenty sour and nice spice. A pretty nice brew. But I would say a little past it prime.
