750ml bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Pours a light shade of amber with a medium sized head that quickly recedes to a ring of foam. It smells a bit wild and sour for a saison. Notes of honey, grass, stone fruit, straw, and lemon. There is a slight sourness in the flavor but not nearly as much as the smell would leave you to believe. The flavor is malty, bready, lemon, and grass. The body is of average thickness for the style and the carbonation falls slightly lower than average. Quite drinkable and refreshing but slightly lacking in complexity.

Pours a very cloudy, dark golden orange color with a two finger, frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Musty farmhouse aroma with some earthy funk, grassy hops, pale malt and light fruit. Strong Saison yeast presence along with piney hops, grass and straw followed by caramel malt, toffee, biscuit and fruit juice. On the light end of medium bodied with soft carbonation and a prominent funky farmhouse yeast flavor that lingers over earthy hops, light fruit and malt backbone into a slightly sweet finish. Very earthy and funky with dry brett, Saison yeast and grassy hop notes followed by hints of toffee, bread and biscuit. Light fruit sweetness in the finish with some grape, apple and pear. Well balanced and easy to drink but nothing out of the ordinary.

Bottle at home. Extreme gusher. Earthy aroma of malt, tart fruits, herbs and spices, anise, ginger, peppery notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and a bit tart. Body is medium. Interesting but not really my kind of Saison, too spicy/herbal.

Tap. Hazy darker orange. Lots of spice and mostly black pepper in the aroma with some slight fruit and maltiness. Flavor is dominated by black pepper, slight fruity malt as well. Lighter to medium body. Not my thing at all.

Bottle @ Patrick’s Haus. Cloudy orange pour with white foam. Nice floral hops and orange peel. Kind of an anise note and some metallic notes as well. Super spicy and herbal. Lots of fennel qualities. Big dried orange peel and some black pepper. A fair amount of caramel malts as well. A let down for me.

darkish amber with fluffy offwhite head. Quite herbal nose, with lots of spice nearer a wit than a typical saison. less attenuated, moderate carbonation, a touch sweet in finish with higher alcohols and plenty of esters.

Cloudy orange with a beige head. Aroma contains citrus, coriander, and spices. Flavor is somewhat tart with some oranges, spices, and ginger. The aftertaste is a bit dry. Overall nice saison.

Pours a cloudy amber body with a thin head. Faint aroma of yeast and sugars. Nice refreshing taste with tones of hay and summer fields. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2/20/15. Sampled during RBWG 2015. 2002 vintage. Golden pour, khaki head. Nice aroma, light funk and tartness, some apple and paper, but not off-putting enough in my eyes. The flavor shows the age more, apple, paper, light funk, cidery. Glad to try and very interesting!

Bottle shared during RBWG on the Booze Bus. Thanks! Gold pour with a small white head. Pretty oxidized nose. Signs of age include paper, cardboard, knackered honeyed grains. Taste has some mellow marmalade. A touch soupy. abrupt finish. Diminished, but not entirely unappealing.
