tap at max’s. Hazy tan-amber, thinnest white ring. Nose is Brett b heavy, lots of cherry, but brown sugar, iron, and light balsamic keep it balanced. Flavor shows more grain and iron at the front, mid has light tea, chestnut, and finishes with paper and more Brett b. Bit full for the fizzy carbonation and soft flavor profile, but balanced and so bright as a result.

330mL bottle, pours an opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast and earthy notes. Flavour is quite tart, with some stale notes, some pepper and earthy notes. This is pretty bad - definitely some infected notes here.

Bottle in Rome. Hazy orange. Sweet, sewer funk. Not good. Warm and souring. Poor infection, gushing flavor. Shame.

330ml bottle from International Beer Collector. Clear sunset orange colour with generous off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Sweet and interesting funky aromas. The taste has lemon drop sweetness, some acetic sourness, bier de garde type maltiness, earthy hop flavour combined with funky notes creates a muddiness. Medium bodied and not as crisp as expected. Not bad but seems muddled and a little disappointing.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2016 33cl. Absolutely beautiful dark orange color with yellow hue, murky, perfect carbonation from bottom to top, medium but stable and lasting head. Perfection. Aroma: candy sugar (reminds of Dolle Brouwers beers), curacao, anise, orange peel, white wine note, faint yeast note. It is borderline alcoholic, but the fruity tones win. Taste: follows aroma, starts nice and crisp with citrus and orange peel, curacao and anise sensation in the back of the mouth. Medium bitter development with some light malty notes, candy sugar. Finish starts fruity with dried citrus fruits, but develops quite a long lasting bitterness where the fruity tones return and return and return. Some ginger lingers in the background. Wow. Lovely brew!

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 04/2017 Murky deep amber body, small creamy white head. Spicy nose - mixed peel, stewed fruits, earthy & woody spices, pepper, clove, bready malt. Moderate carbonation, body somewhat stodgy for a Saison, drying only out only slightly. Spicy body - star anise very apparent as it warms, clove, pepper, mixed peel, bread dough, herbs. Dry finish, subdued bitterness. Lacks the finesse of a good Saison

Bottle shared by Mortlach in Rome-Italy, many thanks. Amber pour, gush as it was open. Funky unpleasant notes of infection. Mouth: impossible to drink. Infection all the way. Bummer!

330ml bottle shared with ippopotamo36 and luttonm. Pours amber, cloudy, big off-white foam. Gushing. Aroma is terrible, dirty water, sewer, bubblegum. Flavour... I don’t know what to write because I only had a sip. Infected.
