Golden and hazy, with a good inch of dense, lasting head. Aromas are dry and beery -- light toast, some bitter citrus hops -- with a slight tang of garlic. Fresh on the palate with crisp hopping and bright, cold wheat grain. Stale finish.

Bottle thanks to Glouglouburp!
Moderate gush that pours a hazy tangerine-gold with a frothy white head, all of which bubbles more than any other beer I’ve seen. Nose is lemon, wheat, and barn, some light grass and pepper notes. Flavor is similar but less powerful, a lot of wheat and earthy hay. Incredibly dry with a bitter finish. Great saison character in the dry barn notes, but I’d prefer more flexibility and less reliance on the malt.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden body with a huge white head. Oxidized woody apple spicy yeast notes, some light coriander and spices as well as a fizzy lightly acidic lemon tone. Decent saison far past its prime.

16th May 2008. Semi sharp dry beer with a light fruity touch but a bit of a dusty feel in the finish. Not too bad.

750ml corked and cagged that popped with a huge pop...shared by Ben Greenberg. Nose is deep with grain, earthy farmhouse and a touch of yeasty esters. Dry mineral flavors and quite bitter with an asprin finish.

750, corked and caged. massive artillery shot cork launcher, but not a gusher. grass, lemon, and spice on the nose. fizzy medium body, with lemon, grass, and spicevon the mid palate. mild tangy finish. pretty damn good but quite a world beater.

Cant taste the fig juice. Only impression is a harsh sournes. I think its infected. I have another example in my cellar, so hopefully i can return with a much better rating.
