UPDATED: SEP 12, 2011 A perfect translucent gold fills my glass, bubbles jump continuously from the base while a nice big head of white froths away. I could smell yeasty spice as soon as I popped the cork. Aroma is peachy peppercorns and lemon rind. A light body of lemon, mineral water and pepper. The finish is very dry. Simply refreshing.

(750ml bottle from Bruery Provisions). First thing I notice is the carbonation level. As soon as I start to remove the cork, the carbonation forcefully pushes against it. The second thing I notice is that it’s fucking skunked. This is the second saison that I’ve purchased at Provisions that has been skunked. WTF! Pours hazy golden with with chunky white head. Very active carbonation. Getting past the skunked aroma, the spicy wheat comes through along with some lemon. Taste is sweetish and has a spicy and lightly bitter finish. Light bodied with oily mouthfeel. This would have been more enjoyable if someone along the way would have cared for this beer more carefully and the brewer would stop using those god-damned green bottles. Will rate again if I can find a good bottle.

750 bl bottle into my Orval glass...Tons of carbonation is the first thing to note, only can pour about half a glass at first, at least four fingers of white head. However, it falls quickly to only about a finger which this last finger has nice retention, no lacing at all on the fall. The beer itself is a medium honey with lots of yeast floaties...The aroma is nice, a little light but sweet lemon and herbs on the front with a nice hoppy and sour finish...The taste is super sweet for a saison, pretty interesting. Lacking in the floral hoppiness your expect, no sour. Light hoppy finish...Nice feel, tingly on the tongue, lasting finish...Easy drink A sweet easy to drink saison. If you want hops don’t come hear, but super easy fun drink.

bottle from Beer Planet clear dark yellow, medium sized white head. Yeasty (baker’s yeast) faint citrussy aroma. faint fruit peely bitterness. flavor is citrussy, slightly spicy, a bit watery and simple for a saison. Pretty refreshing though, would be a great summer beer.

750 ml bottle purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar fourteen months ago ($8.74 after 30% off in the "beer sanctuary"). Pours a slightly hazy light yellow color with a couple fingers of frothy white head. Aroma of musty lemon juice, light caramel, yeast, some barnyard, hints of wheat bread. Flavor of tart citrus, yeast, light maltiness, and I pick up some cherry (unexpected). Thin mouthfeel with very prickly carbonation. Has a refreshing characteristic, but overall a rather weak saison. (322, 469)
