COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional saison style now made only at Blaugies, using barley and spelt ("epeautre"), a primitive strain of wheat.

Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Glowing yellow with a huge, tight head. Malty, rich aroma with honey and wheat, slightly smoky. Rather sweet flavor, then turning dry, with cereals, honey, and fruit. Good, with nice malts, though rather bland after a string of hugely hoppy light beers.

Another shining example of why I’m considering to stock up on more saisons. The characteristics of this one were all great. Good aroma, head retention, carbonation, flavors, you name it. It was great to have it while sitting outside with my friends and just enjoying the evening.

Tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a cloudy gold with a fluffy, white head that recedes. Lovely banana, yeast and bubblegum aroma. Lightly sweet with mild lemon rind bitters and hints of tart citrus. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Decent beer.

Tap at RnH: Nice hazy golden with a dense white ring of head. Dry, bready, chalky phenols, wheaty/yeasty notes. Crisp light body. Dry, phenolic, dusty/dank yeast qualities. Mild coriander notes as well. Simple but an easy drinker.

750ml bottle from 16th St.Liquor in West Vancouver. Pours a fairly standard straw golden, slightly hazy, with very evident carbonation and thick, frothy, persistent foam. Aroma is bright, slightly lemony with some grass and sweetness...even a hint of jasmine(?) Taste is yeasty, floral, pleasingly grassy in hop bite. Little if any malt which isn’t a surprise. Finish is sweet, tingling on the tongue from the carbonation. Pleasant finish. Quality beer.

Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels. Cloudy gold pour with a white head. Citrus, coriander and tropical fruit aromas. Flavours of lemon juice, tangerine, pineapple and fresh herbs. Quite a citrus tang. Dry bittersweet finish. Very refreshing.

On tap at the Blind Tiger. Pours a hazy gold with a medium sized white head. Nice soft musk and wheat. Light lemon, medium bodied and smooth. Musk and wheat on the finish. Crisp and very refreshing, with some lingering musky and yeast.
