COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional saison style now made only at Blaugies, using barley and spelt ("epeautre"), a primitive strain of wheat.

Hazy nectarine yellow. Medium frothy white head. Fruity yeasty aroma. Light bitterness. Very dry yeasty flavor, some peachy fruit effects. Not a stand out saison, I liked La Moneuse better, but this isn’t bad.

Lightly musty and citrusy aroma. Golden color with little to no head. Refreshing saison.

Bottle from Frank Smith’s. Pours clear medium gold with huge fluffy white head and a solid cork pop. Nose is grainy pale spelt, some florals and hopcitrus. Tastes champagny, citric, a bit tart and floral, with late hops and a somewhat bitter finish. Not terribly complex.

Draught at ZBF 2010. Hazy yellow colour with longlasting, creamy head. Light funky aroma, along with a touch off sulphur. Rounded mouthfeel, with a sweet feel to it. Light bodied and pale malty. Low spiciness, if any. Pretty low on everything but tasty and balanced. Wheat is noted, that gives a funky tartness. It’s flowery hoppy but low in bitterness.

pours gold with a large creamy head. Aromas of malt, yeast and sweetness. This has a light palate some sugar in the aftertaste, nice hop balance, wheaty throughout. Very drinkable saison.

Suttree (3765) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 15, 2010
Cloudy orangey gold, nice thick head. Smells sweet and winey, and oddly meaty, lus some citrus. First is crisp and clean, which is kind of surprising. Nice mix of fruit, soap, wine and a hint of oak. Very tasty and very drinkable.

Pours hazy light golden color with big white head. Aroma of spices and some funky earthiness. Fruity flavor with spices and mustiness. Light to medium body with effervescent carbonation.
