3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
In short: A basic blonde Saison with a nice barnyard character. Good.
How: Bottle 750ml at Delirium Café, Brussels
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a medium white head
In long: Nose is moderate barnyard with some flowers, horse blanket and wet cat. No doubt, this is a Saison. Taste is nice but unfortunately a bit straightforward. Attack has a mild sweetness that is half honey, half caramel. That leads to a finish that is moderately dry with a mild grassy/floral bitterness. This beer is nothing special. But I’m the type of guy who likes a good Saison. Incidentally, I’m also the type of guy who doesn’t like a bad Saison.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, citrus, straw, and peaches. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of citrus as well as lighter notes of spices - especially lemongrass, leading to a dry and bitter finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Bottle, 75cl corked, shared by fonefan. A quite clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Citrus and some spicy notes in a nice blend makes the aroma. Dry, medium full mouthfeel, fruity and bitter with a herbal touch and orange-peel. Lovely dryness, and a quite lovely beer overall. (080823)
