(Draught at Delirium Tap Bar, Brussels, 20 July 2012) Amber colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity, spicy nose with notes of bread, grass and tropical fruit. Malty, fruity taste with tropical fruit, bread, hay and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and quite nice.

Arôme malté moyen, note levure, pointe d’épice avec un léger bouquet de pomme,
En bouche, houblon amer, fruité pomme, possible infection, assez pétillant, au final, je ne retrouve pas les caractéristiques d’une saison dans ce côté sec et malté, ressent bien ce côté levure belge et le côté des Fagnes avec un léger fini fruité citronné et épicé.

Aroma is sweetish with pine needles, peaches and nettles. Lots of CO2 on foamy and somewhat sticky palate. Flavour is somewhat tart with nettles, pine needles, earthy and floral notes. Interesting.

Pours a copper orange colour with a large foamy head. Aroma of pine needles, cougg drop, some grains and citrus. Flavour of citrus, pine needles, herbs, bitter hops, apricot, gooseberries (from the hops, I guess) and some yeast. High carbonation, slick mouthfeel and a weak fruity finish with bitterness. Too musty.

Pours hazy golden color with a large, lasting head. Aroma of yeast, spices, pine needles, nettle, citrus fruits, hints of birch leaves, grass and apricot. Flavour of apricot, spices, citrus fruits and herbal notes. Strong carbonation, fruity sourish palate with a ripe fruity finish.

Bottle bought at the brewpub. Clear golden liquid with a big white head. Fruity and spritzy smell, also some yeast. Similar taste. An ok saison but doesn’t bring anything special to the table.

0.75 l bottle (vintage 2006?) at Petalax Beer Festival 2010, thanks Andre! Hazy orange color. Bready, yeasty, flowery, perfumed and berryish aroma with elderberry. Herbal, flowery and slightly yeasty flavor with elderberry and strawberry. This has gone slightly too musty, but there is still some interesting aromas and flavors.

Bottled@PBF2010. Golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, earth, some grains and mild notes of spices. Flavour is quite much the same in a very nice balance. Quite nice stuff.

Hazy deep orange color, small steady white head. A bit peppery-fruity aroma. White peppery, tart, bready flavor. Medium-bodied. Decent saison, still ok after 4 yrs. Thanks Andre for saving this over four Petalax Beer Festivals.
