2013 Bottling... Poured golden amber/orange with a moderate forming, white head. Nose had strong esters with lights fruits and floral hop tones. This to may tasted like a s super fresh Saison Dupont. Earthy farmyard yeast notes along with some hop bitterness and bready malt notes for some balance. A little drying in the finish with some light fruity sweetness.

Bottle with some coworkers. Pours a murky golden orange with fluffy off-white than recedes to a thin, lasting covering and bubbly spotted lace. Nose of funky yeast, hay, citrus. Flavor of lemon, grapefruit, grass, yeast, hay, stone fruit, coriander, pepper. Medium body.

2013 version. Pours a medium orange color. Some clove notes hit me first and last on this one. Very dry finish. Aroma is a cross between a hefe and an XPA. Some vanilla notes as well. Quite delicious.

Big bottle split with the Bean. Pours apricot yellow with a huge, tightly-bubbled and sticky white head. Head lasts for a long while, dissipating slowly, with sips revealing a white sheet of tightly-bubbled sea foam lace. Aroma of freshly-cut hay, fragrant dewy grass, and mild, sweet barnyard funk, with subtle hints of lilac and melted butter. Palate is clean, supple, and gently-carbonated. The flavor is bright; lemon and citrus tartness following through to very gentle Belgian spice, coriander, freshly-mown grass, and some lovely dry bitterness from the dry hopping in the finish. Well-balanced, poised, and delicate, this is a first-rate saison, and I expected nothing less. Fantastic beer.

On tap at Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY - 2013 version. Smooth, dry, slightly hoppy. Sweeter and less peppery than I was expecting. Not much in the way of carbonation.

Hella good! Hazy orangish pour, nice big fluffy white head. Flavors of yeast, stone fruit, honey, wheat, and finishes with just a perfect touch of bitterness. Hell yes.
