Bottle @ home. Pours a hazy orange liquid and a beutiful creamy white head with curtains. Aroma is fruity and yeasty with citrus, subtle banana, grass, white pepper, candy, hay and background maltiness. Dry and crisp taste with dominant hoppyness and balanced medium to high bitterness throughout. Flavors of oranges, hay, white pepper, banana, candy, honey, grass, yeast and earth.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours hazy light amber with a huge fluffy head that settles a bit but remains thru the session. The aroma is more discrete than I’d thought it’d be, herbal hops basically. The taste is initially sweet, then gradually fills up with prickly spicy bitterness, tastes of pine and resin. Long aftertaste. A pretty good saison, I would say, better than Dupont’s regular saison intact.

750 ml bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. 2014 edition dry-hopped with Challenger. Slightly hazy golden yellow with quite a bit of off-white head. Aromas of citrus fruit and peel, herbs, floral notes, light funk, a bit of black pepper. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, herbs, light spices, balanced barnyard funk. Medium body with a very dry finish. Like this more than the original version.

(On tap @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, May 21 2015) Pours very hazy pale gold with a small lingering white cap and lace. Aroma has herbal cut grass hops overlying the Dupont yeasty profile with esters giving slight banana, bready and dusty, with a wet hay farm undertone. On the palate the herbal hops are a lot more prominent. Esters are there, a bit of bubblegum and banana and some orange, but it never ends up sweet. Instead becomes dry, bitter and herbal on the slightly mineral finish. Lightish body with active carb. The palate-centric hop character surprised me but it was pleasant, and I like the dry but fruity nature of the beer. Much easier to drink than sweet estery saison. Elegant, refreshing, tasty.

0,375l fles gedeeld met ralf. Oranjegoud met een witte kraag. Citrus en gist domineren in geur en smaak. Erg lekker voor in het warme zomerzonnetje.

Pours a cloudy deep gold with very big white head. Fresh, citrusy aroma with yeasty scents, a hint of nettles and herbs, a touch of bananas and fresh hoppy fragrance. Medium bodied palate, not much bitterness, good freshness again, medium finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I must recognize that I’m an absolute fan of Dupont, specially of its saison, surely the best example of the style worldwide. This cuvee is drier than the original, but equally balanced, elegant, complex, rustic and refreshing. Long and subtle development, with a dry finish. Very great beer, perfect for summertime. As usual in Dupont...
