2013 bottle, corked and caged. Pours bright golden, hazy with a pillowy white head. Nose is bright and grassy hops, saison yeast, floral notes, bread, and a hint of the barnyard. Bit of pepper. Taste is bright, zesty, and slightly peppery at the end. Dry and refreshing and I can’t freaking get enough.

Color is light yellow and hazy; huge head that lingers for a few minutes. Smell is fresh garden, dry malt, some clove and citrus. Taste is very dry - apple pastry, cider, spice, some yeast funk. There’s a hint of slightly sweet fruit candy and hops on the finish. Highly carbonated.

Hazy orange color with a white medium lasting head. Aroma is fruity, froral and malty, with some banana and moderate hops. Taste is hoppy, floral and spicy, with cinnamon and clove. Earthy and slightly hoppy finish. Actually, I can’t really find much difference between this one and the regular Saison Dupont, can’t find the hoppier presence you can expect from a Dry Hopped Saison.

Hazy light orange beer with a fine fluffy white head. Fresh fruity, hoppy aroma. The flavour is fresh and yeasty with a dry and hoppy finish. (Corked bottle 37,5cl 2014 edition)

2014 (37.5 cl). Pours with a huge white head on a hazy orange-gold. Musty-funky aroma with actually not a lot of hop to show (was expecting more from a dry-hop). Nice earthy/dirt flavor goes well with the dry palate. A nice change-up from the saison masters, but the classic is still my favorite from Dupont.

Rated on 7-12-2014 at 800 Degees Three Fires (Fort Wayne, IN) This draft beer has a very small off-white head that is fully lasting, transparent straw body, lively, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is bready malt, citrus hops, fruity, and spicy. The flavor is bready malt, yeast, fruity, citrus hops, spicy, and has a dry finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light-medium bodied. This beer is just okay for me as the flavor just is not totally to my liking for a Saison. The flavors just seemed a little disjointed to me.

Pours a hazy yellow gold with a beautiful dense of white head. The smell is tart, clove, floral, yarrow. The taste is clove, light fruit, touch of bubblegum, ending dry and crisp. The body is light with nice carbonation.

Bottle, 375 ml. Pours a huge, huge head that leaves lovely lacing. Very yeasty on the nose: this smells of ripe cheese! Full and bitter in the mouth with notes of grass and apple. I agree there is a vinosity here, though that is no fault at all. It's an elegant drink yet not shy in any way. Strong, incredibly dry and bitter finish. Good stuff, though if pushed I'll stay I still prefer the regular version. Looking forward to the next two bottles. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2014 edition - Bottle. from Au Grain D’Orge - Hazy golden color with a huge thick white head, long lasting and beautiful lacing - Aroma is spicy, a little bit vinous, pale malt, earthy hops, herbal and grassy - Flavor is spicy, earthy, yeasty - Light body, medium bitterness, flat carbonation, herbal bitter finish - the standard version is better, more punchy this one is too herbal, too flat and a little bit vinous at nose

2014 edition: Pours a clear light golden with a huge white foamy head that sustains well and eventually settles to a big dollop. Leaves behind nice thick lacing. Aroma is lightly fruity and phenolic with a hint of gassy hops. Some juicy fruit initially in the taste with a bit of perceived sweetness and a phenolic note. That gives way to hay and grassy flavors along with just a hint of bitterness that quickly and nicely dry out the taste. Finishes dry and clean. Crisp mouthfeel and medium bodied with high carbonation. Very good and drinkable.
