En saison med något mer bett och lite mindre syra. På det hela taget en trevlig bekantskap.

375ml Bottle - Hazy golden with a foamy head. Perfumed and floral aroma with lemon, orange peel, hay and spice in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with notes of lemon zest, coriander, pepper and a hint of peach all combining nicely. Very refreshing and enjoyable.

375ml bottle. Hazy golden with tall white head leaving moderate lacing and lasting rather well. Aroma is typical saison yeast and spices with a generous hop profile going towards warmer, sweeter fruits like oranges. Taste is dry and peppery with some grapefruit, citrus, orange, maybe a hint of melon and just a touch of yeast. The carbonation is medium and so is the mouthfeel which presents a very nice and refreshing dryness.

Beatiful hazy, amber colored beer with a foamy, white head.

Nose: Hoppy, floral, Belgian yeast, banana, grass, hay, pear and apple.
Taste: Wow! An explosion of orange, grapefruit, apple, citrus, herbs, some spice and banana. Sweet malt in the background.
Body: Medium body and carbonation. Dry finish.

An amazing beer!

Bottle @ home. Pours a hazy orange liquid and a beutiful creamy white head with curtains. Aroma is fruity and yeasty with citrus, subtle banana, grass, white pepper, candy, hay and background maltiness. Dry and crisp taste with dominant hoppyness and balanced medium to high bitterness throughout. Flavors of oranges, hay, white pepper, banana, candy, honey, grass, yeast and earth.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours hazy light amber with a huge fluffy head that settles a bit but remains thru the session. The aroma is more discrete than I’d thought it’d be, herbal hops basically. The taste is initially sweet, then gradually fills up with prickly spicy bitterness, tastes of pine and resin. Long aftertaste. A pretty good saison, I would say, better than Dupont’s regular saison intact.

750 ml bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. 2014 edition dry-hopped with Challenger. Slightly hazy golden yellow with quite a bit of off-white head. Aromas of citrus fruit and peel, herbs, floral notes, light funk, a bit of black pepper. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, herbs, light spices, balanced barnyard funk. Medium body with a very dry finish. Like this more than the original version.
