Magnumflaska från Systembolaget ganska spritsig och fruktig smak med toner av bröd (jäst). Saknar beskan , inte min favorittyp! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 375 ml. Pours a huge, huge head that leaves lovely lacing. Very yeasty on the nose: this smells of ripe cheese! Full and bitter in the mouth with notes of grass and apple. I agree there is a vinosity here, though that is no fault at all. It's an elegant drink yet not shy in any way. Strong, incredibly dry and bitter finish. Good stuff, though if pushed I'll stay I still prefer the regular version. Looking forward to the next two bottles. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2014 edition - Bottle. from Au Grain D’Orge - Hazy golden color with a huge thick white head, long lasting and beautiful lacing - Aroma is spicy, a little bit vinous, pale malt, earthy hops, herbal and grassy - Flavor is spicy, earthy, yeasty - Light body, medium bitterness, flat carbonation, herbal bitter finish - the standard version is better, more punchy this one is too herbal, too flat and a little bit vinous at nose

2014 edition: Pours a clear light golden with a huge white foamy head that sustains well and eventually settles to a big dollop. Leaves behind nice thick lacing. Aroma is lightly fruity and phenolic with a hint of gassy hops. Some juicy fruit initially in the taste with a bit of perceived sweetness and a phenolic note. That gives way to hay and grassy flavors along with just a hint of bitterness that quickly and nicely dry out the taste. Finishes dry and clean. Crisp mouthfeel and medium bodied with high carbonation. Very good and drinkable.

Beautiful hazy brownish gold pour, great aroma, similar to the standard Dupont but heavier and more hoppy, definitely more flavorful and drier than the standard, excellent.

Alengrin (2197) - BELGIUM - OCT 8, 2014
Limited edition of the famed Saison Dupont, dry-hopped and bottled in magnums. Loose, off-white head, hazy pale blond colour with greenish hue. Powerful and agreeable aroma of apple, hay, honey, grapefruit peel, dry sherry, floral hops, dry white wine, pear; soft fruity taste, honeyish malt sweetness, bready and yeasty with complex spicy notes, increasing in complexity in the finish thanks to a fresh, green, resinous, floral and grassy hoppiness. Truly beautiful saison, but I hadn’t expected anything else from this fantastic brewery.

Couleur orange trouble, forte mousse blanche.

Pours an orange-golden hazy color, with a stable, froth head. Aromas form a wild melange of slightly musty yeast upfront, containing notes of funk and spices, against grassy, herbal fresh hops. In comparison, hops seem to be a little less intense than the yeast, and therefore underline the typical Dupont qualities in a very interesting way. Hops turn more complex, as the beer warms up, revealing a fruity kiwi note, which has a gentle, refeshing sting to it, among herbs, primarily defined by turnip cabbage and onion. Hop character from the aromas converts into taste, with a hint of fruitiness added, mostly papaya and lime. They are present on the palate from the very beginning, starting with herbal qualities, balanced by very soft white-bread yeast, guided by a fitting, slightly metallic carbonation. Hops are by no means as present or aggressive as they tend to be in IPAs, because in this brew they get bedded among a distinctive yeast foundation. While loosing some of its uncompromising bitter-punch, they interact very well with the dough, slightly spiced yeast, creating an enjoyable complexity. This is still without a doubt a Dupont beer, but the dry-hopping is throughout convincing, herbs and grass along tropical notes add a new dimension to the beer, which is outstanding on its own already. The medium hop bitterness adds to the taste from the beginning till the end, while it finds a worthy counterpart in the peppery yeast spiciness. The taste finds its peak, when cinnamonic clove and raw onion blend together wrapped up by garden herbs and bready malts. Finishes slightly metallic, due to the lively carbonation which seems to swallow all other tastes for a split-second, then sweeter, biscuity malts become noteable, accompanied by tropical fruits. Very refreshing, with the typical Dupont mouthfeel, defined by an incredible smoothness and drinking beyond thirst.

W aromacie winogrona, przyprawowy chmiel, lekka dzikość, miód (edycja 2012, więc już lekkie utlenienie). W smaku winogrona wraz z pestkami, lekko cytrynowo kwaskowe, gładkie, goryczka niska, ziołowa, chlebowa nuta od słodu, orzeźwiające, niezłe piwo.
