Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

For export relabeled as "Vieille Provision".

Enormous long lasting foamy but creamy white head atop an opaque golden pour. Complex aroma withy yeast, fruit, bread, bannana notes. Tingly mouth feel. Fruity cherry taste with a crisp dry finish. Tastes a lot like a wheat beer to me. Nice refreshing brew.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a huge rocky white head. Aroma is yeast, sour apples, banana. Flavor is citrus ,yeast, honey. Palate is light to medium, highly carbonated, dry, silky finish. Very nice.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2008 Bottle enjoyed at home. One of my favorites. Light golden color, clear early in the bottle and cloudy later on. Big creamy head. Aroma of green herbs and young hops. Dry and bitter with sour notes, peppery, wheaty, leafy, some citrus. Spicy hoppy finish. Refreshing despite all of that. Hooray for this beer, which is always a bargain to boot.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2007 Bottle. Aroma is floral and citric. Solid and opaque dark yellow color. Well carbonated. Flavor was rich and malty. Slight bitter finish. Thick body with a good creamy palate. A great summer beer. A classic saison.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2012 lovely dark yellow with a great head, delicious spicy aroma, although the taste is not what I was expecting. Rerate love the subtle funk, with the fairly weighty body itís just a great easy drinking characterful beer. Cheap too!

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2009 Bottle, date stamped "LO6006A" Yep, a big horsey and brett smell. Cloudy yellow, with a crisp head. Actually, I think itís a nice clean taste to start. Light pilsner type malts. Still a pretty young bottle, I popped it now and was rewarded with some nice sharp hop notes. Initial smell drops out as it warms, leading to a bit of lemony zest. Rounded out with pear and dry wine. A bit too fizzy, but thoroughly enjoyable.

(750 ml bottle (2005) from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/augusta/l target=blank>Louís Beverage Barn) Light and peppery, refreshing...Pours cloudy golden yellow with a big, fluffy, very rocky white head. Bubbly like champagne, esp. on first pour. Aroma is banana, clove and yeast. Mouthfeel is softly effervescent and light. Big globs of meringue-like lacing inside of glass. Flavor is light banana and citrus with light pepper overlaying and lasting into finish. Nice flavor, esp. the pepperiness.

I donít know if I got a skunded bottle or what! Aroma of skunk, citrus, wheat. Pours a a generous froathy white head and has a medium dark yellow body. Flavor is starts off with clove, wheat, malt, and has a very acidic, bitter aftertaste. WTF! I was expecting more of this highly rated brew

light golden, cloudy, good amount of white frothy head, citrus hay barnyard and yeast nose, good balanced flavour of all aspects in the nose, good beer

Pours golden with thick, white, creamy head. Very skunky, but can detect a bit of straw and spice. Bright citrus flavor up front with significant honey flavors; finishes dry like a pils. Medium body. Quite good once you get past the skunk.
