COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2006 Big aroma. Somewhat barnyard, also wheat and yeast. The beer is almost white, and there is a huge, long lasting white head but no sediment. I was expecting more complexity and upfront flavor from this beer. A little bit sour, light fruit, herbs. Not as sour or complex as the Fantome winter.

Complex: Malts, hops and herbs in a harmonic mix. But mild, and also frankly a bit boring.

Nice aroma with hints of apple, citrus, and nutmeg. Big white head on top of a murky golden body. Nice head retention. Taste was quite crisp and dry, with some bitterness but not much. To be honest I dont get much in the flavor department, but for some reason it doesnt bother me, because the feel on the palate and the aroma is enough to keep me interested. Good stuff. Oh, seems I chilled mine a little too much, got much better as it warmed.

corked 330mL (i think) bottle. it’s a seductively hazy gold with more head than a cheaply-made porno flick, and it probably lasts longer too. not to mention that it leaves just as much residue on the glass. a full spectrum of aromas, from initially sweet and cidery to a pilsnery saazy hops aroma, and if you really focus in, you can get some funky citrus yeasty stuff. tastes spritzy and funky, kinda sour and kinda sweet, and every bit as refreshing and satisfying as the cigarette at the end of that same movie.

Men’s Journal recently called this the best beer in the world, so I had to go find it and I did! Don’t know if I’d go as far as "best in the world" but it’s pretty damn good ... Pretty cloudy yellow with a monster head. Light bodied yet hugely flavored, full-on yeast, citric and rindy. Awesome.

Extremely dense and abundant head, optimal persistence. Yellow clearly color, veiled and loads. Discreet fizz. Decided scent, tending to a weiss bier. Notes of humid and wine cellar. Decided rich taste, much bitter and strongly. Much alcoholic and flowery rumors. Fermented and with talk of stum.

Champagne golden, livly carbonated, large white head frothy and lasting. Big barnyard type aroma, rubber, and pils-esque. Flavor was light and sweet with some spice mixed in, citrus, and bready. Nice lacing.

Hazy golden colour with a white head. Sweet fruity, light yeasty aroma. Flavor is yeasty with spicy notes and a light fruityness.
