COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Nice cloudy yellow pour with a big rocky off-white head. Wonderfully complex aroma with apples, Belgian yeast, grass, citrus, and banana noted. Flavor was dry and spicy with citrus, wheat, and a little bread. Tasted like a hefe that was kicked up a notch. Long citrus & wheat finish. Very refreshing!

Thick yellow haze with whipped cream head. Highly carbonated, bubbly. Grassy aroma; hay; also orange peel, yeast, slight notes of gouda??? Hmm. Bright flavor notes with pleasant bitter, herby finish. Very drinkable for its alcohol content. Quaffable even. Head lasts half a day. Cobwebs of lacing cling to the tulip. Summer in a bottle? Makes me want to work the fields so I can come home thirsty. Men’s Journal recently called this the best beer in the world. It is better than the Fantome Saison, no question. Very nice.

Pale clouded orange appearance, fluffy white head. Hoppy peppery aroma, yeasty, clove spice, mild cheesiness. Sweet, soft palalte, fairly spicy, peppery, fair bitterness in the finish.

Hazy yeoolow straw color, with a big rocky foamy white head, with good lacing, floral hop, herbal, yeasty, zesty fruity aromas of citrus fruits follow through on a medium-bodied palate with fruity of green apples, citrus fruits, lemony touch, yeasty, good acidity in a dry hoppy finish.

Light, hazy with a tall, white head. Strong nose of coriander and orange peels, like a fresh wit bier. A fresh taste with coriander, oaky and soapy notes. Dry, oaky aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2006 Big aroma. Somewhat barnyard, also wheat and yeast. The beer is almost white, and there is a huge, long lasting white head but no sediment. I was expecting more complexity and upfront flavor from this beer. A little bit sour, light fruit, herbs. Not as sour or complex as the Fantome winter.

Complex: Malts, hops and herbs in a harmonic mix. But mild, and also frankly a bit boring.

Nice aroma with hints of apple, citrus, and nutmeg. Big white head on top of a murky golden body. Nice head retention. Taste was quite crisp and dry, with some bitterness but not much. To be honest I dont get much in the flavor department, but for some reason it doesnt bother me, because the feel on the palate and the aroma is enough to keep me interested. Good stuff. Oh, seems I chilled mine a little too much, got much better as it warmed.

corked 330mL (i think) bottle. it’s a seductively hazy gold with more head than a cheaply-made porno flick, and it probably lasts longer too. not to mention that it leaves just as much residue on the glass. a full spectrum of aromas, from initially sweet and cidery to a pilsnery saazy hops aroma, and if you really focus in, you can get some funky citrus yeasty stuff. tastes spritzy and funky, kinda sour and kinda sweet, and every bit as refreshing and satisfying as the cigarette at the end of that same movie.
