Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Bottle: Pours hazy and pale golden with a white, medium sized, fizzy head, that is short lasting, but with nice lacing. Nose of yeast, coreander and grape fruit notes. Flavour of the same ingridienses and lemon, weak malt and hops too. Medium bodied. Dry pleasant finish. Crispy, enjoyable and well balanced.

Bottle, at WBF in Raleigh. Very yeasty, in aroma. Orange, large head, hazy. Flavor is fruity, yeasty, and tasty. Spice at end. Lots of carbonation, and makes it fizzy with the spices.

Removed the cork cage and seconds later the cork exploded to the ceiling by itself. Next few seconds foam started oozing out. Cloudy golden color with huge white head that lasted to the end. Excellent lacing too. Medium strength aroma of Belgium yeast and a little bit of acidity. Flavor starts off nice and smooth with spice, wheat and yeast. Then some bitterness bites around the edge of my tongue. Tastes like a Hefe Weizen. The finish is a bit tart. Refreshing summer time brew. Just beware of the built up pressure when you attempt to uncork.

Cloudy, light orange, big soapy head, and light carbonation. Bright, acidic attack from the start, settling into flavors of yeast and spices. Finishes very quick and dry. Best beer I have tried so far. Had with spicy crawfish etouffee, and chicken fajitas.

Pours Deep yellowish orange, very fizzy white head. Aroma of citrus and cloves with a little yeast in the background. The head has some hang time. Ummm good. Taste of spicy orange juice. Very dry, medium bodied. Light bitter with a bit of warming feeling all the way down. This would have tasted better if I drank it earlier in the 95 degree summer heat instead of inside with the AC blasting at 8pm. Cheers.

Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a huge white head and heavy carbonation. Aroma is strong and wheaty like a belgian white with hints of cloves, oranges, and white grapes. The flavor is a pleasant mix of oranges, grapes, and citrus sweetness with an acidic bite. Finish is dry with medium bitterness and a slight alcoholic warmth. Smooth medium bodied consistancy with a pleasant acidic fizzy carbonation. A very complex well balanced Saison.

Pours hazy yellow with a very large white head. Spicy and sharp citrus aroma with some earthy yeast, and smooth light fruit as well. Medium to full bodied with a good amount of soft carbonation. Starts with a very smooth fruitiness (apricot / necterine / citrus) and light spice - very smooth with the carbonation working to evenly distribute the flavors throughout the mouth. The finish has lots of spicy hops that mixes well with the other flavors. An fantastic beer.

Bottle at Delirium. Cloudy yellow. Lots of sediment. Yeasty spice dominates aroma but there’s a musty element there as well. Slightly sour perhaps. Liked it. To bad it’s not available in Sweden.

Very cloudy yellow body with initially extremely thick head, probably as a result of being conditioned in the bottle. Smells yeasty, citrusy, piney, with also hints of skunk and cardboard... Not sure if that’s supposed to be there or now, but since it’s ina green bottle, and it apparently was brewed in 2005 in Belguim, anything’s possible I suppose. After waiting for the 5 inch head to become a 4 inch head to a 3 inch head and pouring more in my big glass, a rocky head formed, and the murky yellow body had tons of little crumbs in it. Tastes peppery and hoppy with a citrus afteraste. I wanted to like this, but I have to say that if you want a good saison, try Hennepin from Ommegang, at the very least it’ll be fresher presumably. But as I said, I may have got a skunked bottle. I’ll try to find this somewhere else to try again....

750 ml corked bottle, that poured foamy and had a crisp, fruity-spiced flavor. Aroma was musty but allover a refreshing summertime Saison.
