COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

bottle. hazy orange body with a trace amount of yeast sediment. magestic fluffy white head and sticky lace. aroma is mostly yeast but also has notes of faint fruit, cheese funk, and dusty grain. spicy body with soft cookie malt flavours. musty and flavourful. dry peppery finish. good balance. a refreshing beer on a hot summer day.

Cloudy and tan with a head that sticks around a while. Smells like banannas and spice. Earthy yeast taste, hard to pin down. Dry finish. Maybe not the best beer in the world period but very good.

Hazy golden colour and large, frothy head. Musty aroma and spicy, citric, orange marmalade taste. A delicious beer.

I’d never had a saison before, and reading the expectiations of the style, this is a precise example. Similar to a belgian whit. Not my favorite style but I enjoyed it.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2013 I first had this in 2005 and my rating hasn’t changed. Massive, pillowy head with great lace/retention. Yeasty aroma - there’s so much going on with it and each bottle is a journey within itself. Grass, straw, honey, a touch of lighter fruit. Medium to light body, DRY finish, and very drinkable. What this beer accomplishes so well is that at first glance it’s simple and straightforward, BUT there’s so much hidden beneath the surface.

Glass @ the Horse Brass. Poured a beautiful yellow straw color with a thick and creamy white head. Smelled of orange, coriander, and cloves, with a cool funky "cellar" smell. Tasted absolutly delicious. Good hints of peppery spice and orange citrus. A true master of the Saison style.

Pop goes the cork and we’re off. Hazy pale orange in color with a super rocky head that just keeps growing. Should have used a trappist glass instead of the tulip, but let’s get on with this... Delectable aroma with spicy pepper, clovers, orange rinds, grapefruit juice, coriander and burlap sacks. Flavor refreshingly steals my heart. Paling, sour and refreshing quaff. Orange crème, lemon herbed butter and pepper complete the textbook execution of what a saison is meant to be. Subtly abrasive on the palate while spiced and crisp. Hard water and other farmhouse elements are all in agreement. Crisp, clean and sour finish. Absolutely lovely.
