Cloudy golden. Rocky with a white head with thin sheets of lace. Banana fruitiness dominates, lightly bready, maybe a bit sour. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Lightly salty and smoky but taste mostly follows aroma.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2013 Rerate FRESH (as I can get in a bottle): Clean noble hops, lovely pilsener malt and slight yeast driven spicy notes. NOM NOM! 7/4/9/4/15 3.9
Original rating Bottle at Map Room in Chi-town. Disclaimer: some think this bottle was bad, I think it’s just your normal tart saison and I’m rating it as such. Aroma hinted of elderberry, light spices, sour apple, cassis, and some grain. Very slightly bitter tastes, spices come through but not overpowering. Very dry finish. Very quaffable, good summer brew. 7/4/7/3/13 3.4

Yellow-golden, unclear, with fine big head. Typical spicy, coriander, aroma. Flavor starts with the spicyness, but finish a bit more dry than normal.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Somewhat pale hazy golden colour, with a definate foamy white head. The aroma was almost that of an american macrobrew, but somewhat like straw. The taste was somewhat complex, with drying characteristics. The beer was pretty thin-bodied, but it was definately full of carbonation. Larger bubbles coated the side of the glass at all times. Not a bad beer, but not the greatest...but pretty good for the style.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dusty aroma. Big white head, large bubbles. Spicy flavor, finish is somewhat weak. Not so impressed with this. Mouthfeel is kind of thin and very bubbly.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
My first of this style, the beer poured cloudy, nice white head, and a golden color. The taste was complex with a lingering crispness. The hop characteristics were very herbal. Delicious!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had a bottle at the local Vietnamese restaurant with the ridiculously good selection of Belgian beers. Poured a dark golden color with a magnificent head. Smells of yeasty bread, something undefineably citrus, and musty hay. Tastes like it smells, becoming more complex as it warms up. Initially poured clear, and became increasingly cloudy after repeated glasses got to the bottom of the bottle. Yeast flavor really jumping at the end. A fantastic beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is one quality saison, in my opinion it is the best saison available. Hints of citrus while maintaining character with hops. Crisp & refreshing.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very attractive beer. Bright golden streams tiny bubbles champagne-like. Large-bubbled head is pure white and robust. Elegant and best suited for an elegant glass. Bright flavor is citrusy, mildly estery and I occasionly picked up cheesey notes. The light body is prickly with carbonation, but not unpleasantly so.
