4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy golden yellow, lovely foaming rocky head. Catty aroma quickly fades. Notable fruitiness is apparent, somewhat peachy, hint of cinnamon or nutmeg. Mint. Flavor is almost alive, with mild peach and mango fruitiness, faint coriander, doughy, caramel candy. Finishes clean and semi-dry. Unfortunately the flavor and aromas adapt unusually quickly...that is, at first the complexity is deep, then the beer becomes one-dimensional, but then if you rest it for a minute, it becomes very complex again. Hoppy bitterness becomes slightly more apparent during adaptation.

on draught at Monk’s Cafe in Philadelphia. Orangish pour with a nice fluffy white head. Banana, clove and coriander on the nose. Sharp flavors. Some bitterness, some coriander, nicely spicy. This is delicious. This bar is fabulous, I highly recommend to anyone who loves beer.

Just has this on tap at a local pub. Very nice. Fruity - very subtle banana and bubblegum characteristics. Mild spice. Very lively carbonation. Beautiful in the snifter. Totally refreshing and enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy gold body with some orange hues, with a gentle head of white bubbles. Smells of wheat and lightly of clove. Taste is large and sweet like a powerful belgian white. Wheat, alcohol, strong sugars and lemon. Aftertaste is sugar and German hops.

Had with a Bloody Buddy. Gold Coloring. Big Fluffy Head to Begin, but Disapated Quickly. Fruity. Dry. Wheat/Straw... Probably Better in the Mother Country.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a darkish golden color. Pretty hazy. Large foamy head that vanishes before your eyes. Aroma of stagnant air, like in an unused barn that hasn’t seen a human in a decade. The taste is pretty good. A little malty and some musty hops. There is some spice at the end. It strikes me as very similar to a Biere de Garde.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at From The Vine beer tasting Jul 9th, 2004: The beer is a cloudy gold color with a medium thick and fluffy white head. The green bottle may be to blame for the skunkyness that enveloped the sweet fruit and yeast in the aroma. Light-bodied and very carbonated, with an earthy mix of tart fruit and sweet spice flavors. However, the flavor falls off very quickly for some reason. The finish is lightly sweet and has a touch of pepper. Overall this beer is decent with only a couple shortcomings, but I think the green bottle and travel did it some harm. At any rate I thought the now-defunct Quarryman version was a lot better.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The pale golden look with the effervescent carbonation is clearly evocative of Champagne. The crowning creamy head atop the brew is very handsome and displays incredible longevity and adorns the glass with a solid coat of lace. The aroma is floral, citric, and earthy. The taste is very delicate sweet tart rhubarb and lemon peel with horseradish spiciness on the back of the tongue. The middle is crisply hopped with a dry mouthfeel. The end is a bit tropical with hints of banana and other fruity esters. Light and tangy, with a sunny disposition. This brew will always be welcome in my glass.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
10 oz. draft.
Appearance is a cloudy honey color, with a smallish head (bad bartending i think). The aroma was farmhouse all hte way, with yeast and straw dominating. Dupont has the flavor of lemon grass, and green banana, with no sourness or tartness at all. The finish is acidic and exceedingly dry, with pepper left on the tongue.
