Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

For export relabeled as "Vieille Provision".

Bottle: Slighty hazy, light orange pour. Big white stiff foamy head. Amazing lacing. There is some sediment. Aroma is a little funky, lemon, some basement odors, some spice, and a little malt in the background. Very smooth. Pleasent flavor, some malt, a little bitterness, some slight sour/tartness. Finish is dry. This is pretty good stuff.

Yellow-orange with slight haze. Lots of carbonation. Large, lasting, off-white, rocky head. Some sediment. Lemony, spicy aroma with some yeasty, musty notes. Sharp, cirtic, spicy, bitter flavor. Long bitter/sour finish. Strong peppery phenol notes in flavor and finish. Light body. Very dry palate and finish. Very refreshing, effervescent mouthfeel.

What a great beer! Yellow with yeast particals and a huge eggy head. Lots of citrus and malty, cookie dough. Tastes malty, funky(but not much), bready, fruity(orange, pineapple, peach), lots of soft spicy notes, sourrish and bitterish. Finishes with an alcohol bite and all the above. Wonderful and delicious!!!

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2013 Huge head! Loads if citrus, pines, apples and fruits in the aroma. A very "woody" feel. Lively carbonation and complex. Long dry finish. re-rate 2013 Dominated by spices and cheese. The yeast is very distinct and makes this lovely cheesy peppery character. Fairly dry, carbonation is balanced. Awesome saison

Bottled. Golden, with an enormous white head. Aroma of malt, citrus and fresh pine hops, and yeast. Taste is lightly sweet with toasted malts, corriander, fruit and spice. The body is light/medium with soft but huge carbonation. Longish complex finish.

Glowing peach/orange color with a lasting, billowy white head and tons of lacing. Aromas of yeast, mineral, hay, raisin, spice -- though there is an odd musty odor at first pour. Dry, dry finish on the beer, good balance and perfect carbonation. Just a hint of sour on the finish. Flavors of orange peel and yeast. Simple, rustic, and very well put together.

Bouteille de 75 cl. (SAQ). Jaune presque claire, très gros collet. Arome un peu moufette, houblon faible. Le goût: agrume pétillant, arrière goût un peut amère et sec.

The bottled opened all by it’s self when the wire was loosened. That is how carbonated this saison is. No gushing though. Hard to pour more than 1/2 glass without filling the rest with head. Solid pure white head with permanant Belgian lace on the glass. Less fruity flavors than I would have expected. More like a champaigne than a beer, with a clean, ultra dry finish. Cloudy body with no traces of yeast in the bottom of the bottle.
