Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

For export relabeled as "Vieille Provision".

Glowing peach/orange color with a lasting, billowy white head and tons of lacing. Aromas of yeast, mineral, hay, raisin, spice -- though there is an odd musty odor at first pour. Dry, dry finish on the beer, good balance and perfect carbonation. Just a hint of sour on the finish. Flavors of orange peel and yeast. Simple, rustic, and very well put together.

Bouteille de 75 cl. (SAQ). Jaune presque claire, très gros collet. Arome un peu moufette, houblon faible. Le goût: agrume pétillant, arrière goût un peut amère et sec.

The bottled opened all by it’s self when the wire was loosened. That is how carbonated this saison is. No gushing though. Hard to pour more than 1/2 glass without filling the rest with head. Solid pure white head with permanant Belgian lace on the glass. Less fruity flavors than I would have expected. More like a champaigne than a beer, with a clean, ultra dry finish. Cloudy body with no traces of yeast in the bottom of the bottle.

On draft at Belgian beer tasting at State Line Liquors with Beerded_one. Pours hazy golden with a decent white head. Aroma of belgian spices, citrus, yeast, and fruit. Flavor is smooth, citrus, fruit, sweetness, yeast, carbonated, with a dry finish. Good brew.

Pours with a hazy golden color with a small white head and a bit of yeast sediment. Aroma is peppery, with a hint of cloves and... funk. Citrusy and tart with a light palate and a bit of dryness that keeps reeling you in for more. Good saison.

Bottle. Light, fluffy white head that pours a golden haze with lots of unfiltered particles. Sweet citrocy aroma with nice carbonation and citrous body. Similar to Duvel, but lacks something.

I think I got a slightly skunky one. After the skunkiness seemed to go away, very spicy, similar to a belgian white. Taste has banana, maltiness on the finish, tastes similar to all the other witbiers I’ve had. I had this before on tap and it was very good, but this is kind of unimpressive from the bomber.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2016 Pours a hazy yellowish/gold color. Aromas of tart fruit, bread, hint of citrus, and yeasty. Flavor is malty/citrus. Leaves a yeasty orange aftertaste.

Quite similar to a Belgian blonde - easy-drinking and smooth. Lively carbonation, splendid finish leaving a pleasnat bitter taste.

Bottle. I would equate this to a homebrewing experiment gone bad. A huge disappointment.Pours with a hazy straw color and a medium head. The aroma is ok, mustiness, yeast and hops. The flavor however is terrible. Essentially watery with an unpleasant bitter note at the end, that lasts. Pretty bad. The upside was that it was a 375ml bottle, I doubt that I could have finshed a large one.
