(Bottle 750 ml) Golden color with a beautiful long lasting creamy meringue-like white head with plenty of lacing. Aroma of different spices (citrus!!!).
Flavour of spice, citrus, some faint bitterness with an absolutely great finish. Some lemon comes through. A very enjoyable fizz on the tongue. Absolutely great.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Good hop aroma, fruity, hint of yeast. Almost clear golden colour. Big, creamy/rocky white head. The flavour is fruity, well balanced by the bitterness. Nice.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Light golden with a huge white head, piquing like a beautiful frothy cappuccino. Aroma is soooo yeasty and spicy with hints of lemon and pepper. Flavor is very complex, malty, but crisp, not sweet. Peppery, chewy, spicy, hints of the hops, bitter, and the yeast is still present. Starts out bitter, yeasty and peppery, with cloves and orange, hints of chalkiness toward the end. Marvelous. Bravo!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2007 Pours a bright pale yellow w/ a full, semi creamy froth. Long hangtime keeps me waiting. Residual lacing is mountainous and very sticky. A very aromatic brew w/ scents of flowery citrus rind, a little banana spice, and beer. I can smell it three feet away as I wait for my first sip. Light nectar w/ soft residual effers. Gives off a texture of soft cotton. This is a crisp and refreshing brew w/ heavy citrus flavors from the rind component. Theres an instantneous bittering caused by a persistant peachpit factor. This brew is totally dry w/ delicate complexities of lemon rind, perfume, crisp malts, and a hint of vanilla. Theres an earthy spiciness that is very enjoyable. The finish has a slight tartness w/ a serious bittering unit. Overall: A complex brew w/ elegant flavors. Crisp and very refreshing w/ big citrus rind bitters.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 750 ml, expiry date: 02/2007; eye: yellow with orangey reflections, off-white head that persists due to high level of effervescence (almost as much as champagne); nose: yeast, citrusy, sourness that almost dominates; mouth: fizzy on the tongue, sourness, long dry finale; overall: really good beer but not one that I would diry in great quantity

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The aroma was great, kinda grain smell. The head was creamy, white and had good lacing. The body was cloudy and amber-orange in color. The initial flavor was sweet and finished sweet with an almost spicy feeling later.

Pours a cloudy orange gold color with a fluffy near-white head. Looks a lot like a belgian white actually. Smells and tastes a lot like a belgian white too... hmmm... Not at all what I was expecting...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2008 In the bottle. A fossil like white head with decent retention. It’s not my first so a bit of the wonder is gone. But is still a bit of light in the midst of winter. It has the obvious cloudy yellow with the quick carbonation of a champagne. The greatness is not in the aroma here but in the taste. The start is bitter and crisp with great citrus notes. But as you get nearer to the bottom and as it warms it really unfolds and smooths out. It may be a bit too dry for some but the balance of spice and citrus really rewards especially in the end. I find that it is better to let the bottle warm to bring out the true nature. The six and a half ABV won’t cripple, so you you can easily have another. Cheers.
