Commercial Description:
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Pours with a tall white head. Aroma of herbal fruitiness with a hint of caramel. Starts a little sweet, then the sour hits and fades to an herbal finish. My first Saison so wasn’t sure what to think. Not a big fan of the sour flavor and the herbal/astringent aftertaste, however it is strangely refreshing and I like the complexity.

Bottle and later on draught at lowlander. Alround rating for both times was nearly identical: Pale malts, small spicey character, peppery, fruity yeasty character, pritty malty alround. Not too exciting.

Hazy body with a nice sized white head. Aroma is nice and spicy, some yeast and a little citrus. Flavor is a light bitter, a little sour, and a nice sweetness. Pretty much all the flavors you really want in a nice beer. Light body that’s done well and a dry finish. Really tasty beer.

Wonderful beer, fantastic phenolic aroma with some coriander in there. Appearence is light cloudy amberwith massive white head. Flavour is difficult to describe, there is some stonefruit, bread, spice and almost slight plum sourness in the immediate finish. There is some longer bitterness to the finish which is a bit flat since there is no malt sweetness to match the bitterness, but is still very very enjoyable.

Bottle 25cl @ Home.
Clear medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, soap, spicy, citurs - lime shell. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Simple and easy to drink and very refreshing. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Bottle at Redlight Redlight and another at BJ’s Brewhouse. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a pillow white head. Spicy hops, pepper, little hints of sour funk in the aroma. A real classic saison aroma. Light malty taste with fruit and pepper notes that make this such an easy beer to drink. Really nice.

shared 750ml bottle. pours a murky yellow with a huge white fluffy head. aromas of citrus, yeast and some funk. lively over the palate... somewhat sour, dry and refreshing. overall a solid Saison, but this really isn’t my style of choice.

Saison Dupont Vieille Provision is a cloudy, very sparkling golden ale with a lot of particles in it. It has a huge, white, foamy head that has great retention and lacing. As soon as the cork was popped, the room was filled with a funky, farty aroma. A closer sniff reveals leather, earth, hay, spices of some sort, fruit salad. There’s a lot going on in that aroma. It is incredibly smooth and medium bodied. It japans the roof of the mouth and leaves the tongue dry. It dries up in a poof and leaves me thirsty for more. The flavor is pretty mellow, but still complex. It never gets sweet. It’s almost umami. There is leather, apples, grass, cirus peel corander... a bit of phenol. It’s hard to pick it apart, as it’s so well blended. There is a nice grassy bitterness at the finish. The whole flavor is tight and unique. It’s very satisfying.
