Commercial Description:
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Cloudy golden yellow with a nice white head. Spice on the nose. Good smooth on the palate. Yeasty, coriander, and sweetness. A little funk farmhouse of course. Good flavor retention. Very good saison.

even at arms length, when uncorked the dry aroma fills the area...even before tangible elements of the aroma can be figured, dry musty and even dusty character permeates the head space. upon closer (nose) inspection, aromas of apple peel and ripening pear are revealed. extremely bready yeast begins to take center stage. flavor is - like initial aroma - overwhelmingly dry, bordering on tart. many of this great beer’s intricacies are quite subtle, but when pondered prove it to be truly world class. my first sample of this was a revelation and pushed me towards where i find myself today.

(bottle) Pours cloudy orange with a large white head that stays throughout consumption. The aroma is very good with dominant smells of coriander, sweet bread, lemon zest, and subtle floral hops. The taste begins with a faint kick of candi sugar sweetness, but the coriander and lemon zest really asserts itself in mid-palate, which then yields to a nice dry finish of yeast and bitter hops. This is well crafted, and quite drinkable.

[Bottle] Pours hazy orange with a billowing white head. Aroma is quite nice--big on yeast, a lot of coriander and I think a faint smokiness. Taste is also yeasty and spicy with a mild bitterness that is especially prominent in the finish. Medium mouthfeel with a pretty good length finish. Saison is not my favorite style but I thought this was a very enjoyable beer. Old Rating: 9/5/7/3/17=4.1 Re-Rate: [Bottle, thanks Guerde!] Pours hazy orange with a good white head that leaves good lacing. Grassy, coriander, very light hoppiness (and a little bitterness from it), yeast, and the slightest hint of sourness. Good mouthfeel with a long, quite dry finish where the malt is fairly present. Just outstanding all around, and one of the best summertime beers out there.

Pours a hazy golden color with a big white head. Aromas of ctrius , yeast and slight hops. Earthy flavor with some fruitiness. Light to medium body with minimal carbonation makes this very easy to drink and very refreshing. A very good saison.

375ml bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with big rocky white head and great lacing. Nose is spice, Belgian yeast/bread and sugar. Palate is yeast upfront with a touch of sugary honey, spices and a slightly dry citrus hop finish. As the Phoenix days heat up, I’ll be drinking more of this. Nice and refreshing brew.

Dark straw color, large rocky head. Mildly hoppy and sweet nose. Sweet initial bite with an onsent of hoppiness that fades and then returns with mellow spiciness.
