COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Waves of carbonation coming up from the bottom of the glass is what I notice first. Big frothy white head that keep building, laces the glass nicely on the way down. aroma of hay, yeast and slight funk but all in a very mild subtle approachable manner. Flavour is mellow compared to aroma with the malt adding a nice softness to the beverage. Slight sweetness with some fruit. All very good, very drinkable and enjoyable.

Great taste. A bit lighter than many saisons, but nice overall. Will have another. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Bottle. Cloudy, honey colour. Frothy white, well retained head which sticks to the glass. Floral aromas incorporating citrus, some banana and yeast. Complex flavours of citrus blossom, banana, yeast, nuts and barnyard funk all carefully interwoven around the alcohol. Amazing palate which is smooth and rich, yet highly carbonated and dry on the finish. Delicious.

Bottle at home from notes. Pours a hazy straw golden color with a large white head. The aroma and flavor has a pleasant barnyard funk, dry, coriander, lemongrass, ample yeast character, some peppery notes, bready malts and hay. Classic drinkable saison.

Bottle at the CBB Saison Event. A clear light gold, more of a zesty lightly funky farmhouse with a bit of spice aroma. Much softer carbonation than the Biologique. The taste is funkier as well, spicy, a bit sharp, a bit metallic. 6.5% is quite a bit higher than I thought. OK.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2014 Pours medium/large dense foamy head, dark golden hazy colour. Very fruity and malty, soury, bit spicy aroma, belgian yeast, fruit peel, peaches, cherries, plums. Taste is very fruity and followes that sweet/sour balance, giving space to a final grassy, hoppy, peppery and soury long finish; moderate bitterness and bit of funkiness too. Lively carbonation, medium bodied and quite refreshing

Straw-yellow, clear until the last sip came out of the bottle. Stable head. Slightly sour nose (lactic) with a nuance of raspberries in the background. Taste is again a bit sour, also peppery and a bit fruity. Medium body, fizzy and high drinkability.
