COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Bottle at home from notes. Pours a hazy straw golden color with a large white head. The aroma and flavor has a pleasant barnyard funk, dry, coriander, lemongrass, ample yeast character, some peppery notes, bready malts and hay. Classic drinkable saison.

Bottle at the CBB Saison Event. A clear light gold, more of a zesty lightly funky farmhouse with a bit of spice aroma. Much softer carbonation than the Biologique. The taste is funkier as well, spicy, a bit sharp, a bit metallic. 6.5% is quite a bit higher than I thought. OK.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2014 Pours medium/large dense foamy head, dark golden hazy colour. Very fruity and malty, soury, bit spicy aroma, belgian yeast, fruit peel, peaches, cherries, plums. Taste is very fruity and followes that sweet/sour balance, giving space to a final grassy, hoppy, peppery and soury long finish; moderate bitterness and bit of funkiness too. Lively carbonation, medium bodied and quite refreshing

Bottle 0,75L. Murky, yellow colour with lively visible carbonation and huge foamy, frothy, long lasting white head. Aroma of butter, herbs, grass, citrusy hops, some fruits and yeasts. Taste starts medium bitter with spices and hoppy citruses. Finish is heavy bitter. Medium to full body, watery texture and lively carbonation.

Straw-yellow, clear until the last sip came out of the bottle. Stable head. Slightly sour nose (lactic) with a nuance of raspberries in the background. Taste is again a bit sour, also peppery and a bit fruity. Medium body, fizzy and high drinkability.

Hazy golden with white head. Sweet fruits up front with a hint of white pepper. Some bready malt notes. Taste is fruity up front, almost a citrusy note, that has some funk and slight spice or pepper notes. Rolls through some sweet bready malts and finishes bitter dry with a lemon grass type note. Tasty!

375 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with generous white head. Skunky aroma, must be lightstruck. Flavor is mostly of spices and Belgian yeast. Medium bodied. I'm sure I would have enjoyed this more with a better quality specimen.

33cl bottle, labeled as "Saison Dupont" only. Cloudy golden, some yeast suspended, foamy white head. Smells of yeast, bread, light dough and spices. Taste has a good malty base with yeast again and a good final hoppy bitterness. Medium to high carbonation.
