COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

2003 375ml bottle. Aroma is moderately yeasty (barnyard, musty) light hops(hay, lemon) Pours hazy yellow, large lasting white head. Starts slightly bitter, very little sweet, light lemon. Finishes pleasing long dry and warming. Exciting with an exploding cork. Overall refreshing and clean taste, very palatable!

Transparent gold with a large frothy white head. Pleasant fragrance consisting of malt, tart citrus, bubblegum an flora. Light bodied. Previously mentioned flavours are present with emphasis on tart lemon and a dry floral citrus finish. Very nice.

From bottle into a snifter. Slightly cloudy golden orange color with huge frothy white head. Nose is Banana, lemon, barnyard, oranges, hints of clove, some pepper. Light body, slightly sweet, low bitterness, hints of sourness, high carbonation. Long lemon and clove finish, that sticks to the tongue. Great beer.

A wonderful Saison, tasty, fresh with a full body. Yeast, citrous notes... Maybe too sweet ending, but I love it!

Bottled. Bright and almost completely clear as I avoided pouring the yeast. A golden colour with noticeable carbonation but a minimal off-white head. The yeast is very evident, with a slight spicyness (cloves), bubblegum, and some fruit on the nose - all of it very well balanced, nothing overpowering. Sweet, refreshing, citrus flavours, with the bitterness and hint of spice coming afterwards. Exceptionally clean, refreshing and well balanced. Very good.

Aroma of fruits, citrus, malty notes, funky yeast, spicy notes, hint of hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Maybe not the absolute best, but a classic Saison.

Oh, to be in Belgium once again... so many great beers, so many varieties of brew. Someday. In any event, I’ve been trying several American version of this style, and without doubt I have found my summer beer style this early spring. All that remains is finding one that I can actually afford. Saison Dupont may be the Ur-saison, the original of this style, and it is a fine one. Poured into a Spencer trappiste goblet, with quite a gush of foam, it is a yeasty, spicy, pale yellow brew with a bit of bitterness at the end. The bottle I have is brown glass with a checkered design behind the lettering, not the greenie pictured here.

Buena cerveza aunque no excepcional. Se deja beber aunque dudo que vuelva a comprarla.
