Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

2003 375ml bottle. Aroma is moderately yeasty (barnyard, musty) light hops(hay, lemon) Pours hazy yellow, large lasting white head. Starts slightly bitter, very little sweet, light lemon. Finishes pleasing long dry and warming. Exciting with an exploding cork. Overall refreshing and clean taste, very palatable!

Pale amber body with a white head.
Aroma and flavour are tart, fruity and refreshing. Light sweetness and bitterness. Increasingly bitter finish.
Light body with average carbonation.

Light yet tasty. I really like how refreshing it is.

33cl bottle, served in snifter glass. Poured a cloudy yellow with a three finger white head. Glass full of swimming yeast. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit, caramel, freshly cut grass. Tastes of again citrus, grass, caramel, bready yeast, grapefruit, banana, pepper, apple. Complex beer. Medium body, creamy, hoppy, yeasty, very fruity. Nice dry bittersweet finish. This is a very good brew. Enjoyed this a lot and it’s a shame my glass is already empty...

God og spændende saison-øl. Meget frisk og frugtagtig. Meget grumset og ikke så indbydende

Old rating rerated 23.01.2016, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head, slightly hazy. Aroma is slightly dry floral, yeast, hay, flowers, grass, old rope, bark, minerals, weeds, hints of almond essence. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish floral, weeds, yeast, flowers, grass, hay, old rope, minerals, bark, almond essence. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough, but not really my cup of tea...

Very light, about straw gold on the appearance with a well-formed ivory head that forms Belgian lacing after repeated sips. Low clarity as the haze in the beer is very apparent, although not quite as hazy as a witbier. The aroma does remind me of certain Belgian witbiers, as lemon zest predominates along with a complement of herbal aromas such as thyme, along with hints of black pepper. Medium bodied with delicious acidity, just enough tartness but doesn’t allow itself to be defined by it. Very complex in both aromas and flavors. It contains many elements found in other types of Belgian beers such as high carbonation, herbal and spicy aromas, high drinkability. Spectacular offering and supposedly emblematic of this style.

0,33lt bottle @ Valentin - Curious Bierkneipe, Volos, Greece A lot of carbonation in here, you can see and feel the playful bubbles. Yellow-gold with the yeast floating, white head. A bit fruity and more bitter, with a dry long aftertaste. Medium body but it fits well with a salad or just refreshing. I couldn’t drink two at one time though.
