2013 version. Pours straw with big long lasting head. Nose is yeast, lemon, some spice. Well carbonated and easy to drink. Taste is difficult to describe. Fruity, herbal, floral with a lingering aftertaste. A lot of yeast notes, rather tart. Earthy.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Temptation (136) - - JUN 17, 2013
Difficult to describe, it’s simply magical. It has a strange mixture of rusticity and incomparable elegance. Yeasty, a point of tartness, raw grain creating a very rich, complex and refreshing beer. I haven’t tasted Hill Farmstead Ann, but in the meantime, this is, for me, the best saison in the world.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bonkiedeaap (46) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 16, 2013
Bought a 330ml bottle at Bert’s Bierhuis. Has a yellow blonde color and a soapy white head, highly carbonated. Aroma of lemon, wood, hops, grass and yeast. Is an easy to drink beer with a fresh, dry bitter taste. Also the aftertaste has a medium bitter character. Never tasted a saison before, but this a really nice beer and it reminds me a little of La Chouffe.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Lagerboy (705) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 16, 2013
750 ml bottle. Cloudy pale straw yellow, big rocky white head slowly settles and mostly lasts. Aroma of musty yeast, citrus zest and spice. Lightly bitter, yeasty funk and spiced herbal taste, clove and coriander, citrus fruitiness, buttery honeyed maltiness. Softly carbed, light-medium bodied, low hopped. Dry tart light bitter finish. A classic. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

330ml bottle. Light copper with a small but steady head. Very sharp lemon aroma with earthy undertones. Tart flavour with plenty of citrus, grass, lemon sherbet, some yeast. Very lively carbonation, possibly a bit too frothy for my tastes but to be expected for the style. A very good beer overall.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 jeremyh70 (371) - Missouri, USA - JUN 12, 2013
Pours a hazy golden yellow with plenty of sediment in suspension. A big rocky ivory colored head with good lacing. Has a lemongrass aroma and some sweetness from malt along with some pepper and clove spiciness and yeast. Taste is the same with a quick hit of lemon and grass along with a mild funkiness from the yeast. White pepper and some clove dominate the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is crisp and medium bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes dry. Very good Saison. Was surprised how much I liked it. Very drinkable with nice balance of mild funk, spiciness and a bit of malt and lemon flavor.

Bottle from Mane liquor. Pours golden orange with a pillowy head. Lemon peel, citrus, champagne and brettanomyces in the aroma. Taste is big: sour, dry lemon and acidic fruits, brett and a touch of light malty sweetness. Dry, refreshing and lingering bitterness. Champagne spritziness. Killer drop.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Jado (279) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - JUN 9, 2013
From 750 ml corked & caged bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a small but lasting white head. Good lacing. Aromas of lemon, baking bread, hay, light banana and cloves. The taste starts out with lemon zest backed by a light and spicy hop bitterness. This gives way to bread, vanilla and clove at the back end. Crisp finish with a citrus aftertaste. Enjoyed this a lot.
