Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

DATE TASTED: August 25, 2013 ... GLASSWARE: Duvel snifter... OCCASION: drafting while draughting--a perfect beer for a fantasy football draft!... APPEARANCE: pale, cloudy yellow heather body with a half-glass mushroom cloud of soft white head--as attractive as C.J. Spiller, my first rounder... AROMA: clean, grassy, lemony roundness with enough vanilla and citrus medley to complicate the nostrils ...PALATE: goodness, this is easy-drinking; a slightly warming finish does little to detract from the beer’s pleasant front-end presence and sipability...TASTE: a touch of sourness denotes the citrus presence, while the overall flavor is soft hoppy goodness, like a freshly mown lawn wafting... OVERALL: after the Dogfish Head 60 yesterday and this today, I probably could retire from summer beer drinking; as I remembered it, a refreshing, almost euphoric bottle that makes one question the need for another night’s drink; enough alcohol to be significant, weak enough to be enjoyed more than once...

Pours a hazy blonde colour with a fizzyhead which doesn’t last. Aroma is spice, hay, apples, yeast and sweet malt. Taste is quite complex, medium sweet and quite dry, long and lingering. Pretty nice beer

Pours a slightly hazy yellow with an enormous white long lasting head that leaves a lot of lacing. Nose is faint fruit. Body is light. Taste is dry but presents with a light Belgian candy sugar cooked pleasant taste. Hop bitterness is mild and long lasting. If this the benchmark, then many American Saisons are intense and enjoyable for what they are.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with thick, bubbly, long lasting head. A bit of sediment in this one. Nice pour. Aroma of orange, spices, coriander, a bit of wheat and a mild yeasty funk. Taste is smooth and balanced. Nice orangey sweetness, spices and transitions to a mildly bitter and dry finish. Balanced body with light mouthfeel and high carbonation. Great saison.

Bottle. Hazy orange with big frothy white head. Spicy aroma of malts, bread, resin, fresh citrus, lime. Some other spicy aromas presents after it warms to room temperature, mostly coriander. Fresh, light bitter taste with malt notes. Light body, creamy texture. Soft carbonation. Aftertaste is light bitter, with some nice sour notes. Fresh, super ale, very drinkable.

Lys brun farge med hvitt skum. Lukter banan, alkohol og noe sitrus. Ganske mild i smak. Og også mild bitter avslutning.
