Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

DATE TASTED: August 25, 2013 ... GLASSWARE: Duvel snifter... OCCASION: drafting while draughting--a perfect beer for a fantasy football draft!... APPEARANCE: pale, cloudy yellow heather body with a half-glass mushroom cloud of soft white head--as attractive as C.J. Spiller, my first rounder... AROMA: clean, grassy, lemony roundness with enough vanilla and citrus medley to complicate the nostrils ...PALATE: goodness, this is easy-drinking; a slightly warming finish does little to detract from the beer’s pleasant front-end presence and sipability...TASTE: a touch of sourness denotes the citrus presence, while the overall flavor is soft hoppy goodness, like a freshly mown lawn wafting... OVERALL: after the Dogfish Head 60 yesterday and this today, I probably could retire from summer beer drinking; as I remembered it, a refreshing, almost euphoric bottle that makes one question the need for another night’s drink; enough alcohol to be significant, weak enough to be enjoyed more than once...

Pours a slightly hazy golden color, topped with a relatively small white head. Mild fruity aroma, some yeasty/cellar notes and spices. Taste is spicy and slightly sweet, some citrusy fruits, a bit herbal and sourish (cellar), a bit yeasty. Refreshing and dry. A nice one.

330 ml bottle shared by Werckmeister, thanks!
Bright amber, moderate hazy body, with a big, frothy, white head.
Aroma of barnyard, grass, fresh herbs, orange, spices, banana, some sweet bread, yeast.
Tastes of spices, fresh herbs, orange zest, some barnyard, yeast, banana, some sweet berries, vanilla.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes spicy, sweet, yeasty, fruity.

Very nice. Pretty complex, especially the nose is really lovely. Great balance between spicy, herbal, sweet and fruity notes. Great, chracterful and also refreshing Saison.

330ml bottle at home, shared with Saeglopur. BB 04/2018. yellow color, clear but with obvious particles, small white head. smells acidic, citric, some fruits, apples, some funk, oranges, light herbs. light body, soft carbonation, rather light mouthfeel. tastes citric, yeast, fruits, peach, light sweetness, light honey, herbs, lemongrass. finishes acidic and with notes of lemon grass. drinks quite good, body and mouthfeel are quite light at first, considering the ABV.

A great beer to take in summer. I think it needs to be 10 some recoregut, depth on the palate, complexity and second return.

Like a straw golden colour with creamy firm head with strewn yeast, which look like cinnamon. Head preserve its form untouched till the end! Small bubbles rises up very fast. Aroma is without any sign of an alcohol. But prevailing esters of grape, lemon, grapefruit, with some floral notes - in short gently fruity notes. Taste is also without notice of an alcohol. Very gentle sweet taste with dry finish. Hop ester have fruity notes of oranges, lemon, even of cherry. You can also detect some floral notes. At the same time you can also detect malt sweetnes of cereal and wheat. Hop bitterness is medium, malt sweetness also and they are really very well balanced. Finish is realy dry and long lasting. Realy good beer, the real belgian sasion.
