Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Pours hazy orange with giant fluffy head. Smells like lemon grass and hay Tastes citrusy and yeasty. Slight sourness and tartness but by no means overpowering. Mouthfeel-Fairly carbonated. Great mouth feel. Overall- One of my saison stand bys. Great beer

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours . Aroma of wheat malt, sulfur, esters, fruits, vomit. Taste slightly sour fruitiness, otherwise mostly sweet grains.

330ml Bottle BBE: 04/2018. Cellar temp. (+1hr@RT). Pours a cloudy pale amber/orange body with floaters and a towering, pillowy, off-white head. Medium-low intensity nose, with hints of corned beef, baking bread, lemon, pepper, barnyard aromas, berries and classic Belgian yeast. A medium bubble-gum and raspberry sweetness is backed up by a light bitterness. Medium-bodied with a slightly chewy texture, low carbonation and a lovely, long, gently warming finish. A classic beer that gives more and more after the first sip. Not overly sweet, but so many flavours to pick out.

L: pours a cloudy gold with a gorgeous white pillowy head that leaves lacing. It eases back slightly, but sticks around the whole time. S: there’s an acidic funk that is nicely sitting amongst the yeast and some citrus, very pleasant. Hints of grass or hay. T: like the smell, superb balance with the wild strain quite subdued yet giving it a tangy liveliness, somewhat grainy and lemony. A little peppery. F: so nice and creamy, those bubbles just glide over the mouth, it’s very light and quaffable. O: the key is balance, and this is a fantastically restrained and harmonic brew. Doesn’t give excitement just superb craft.

This used to be a staple when it was cheap. Pale gold pour, almost straw. Big white head. Tons of lacing. Nice aroma of malt, hops, citrus, straw, grass. Taste is similar. Nice crisp finish.
