Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

375ml corked bottle from "Lifesource" in Salem. $4.99 Cloudy golden ale, with a large creamy, smooth white head. Caramel, earthy, leafyleather, and barnyard style aromas.. interesting this also smells a little "skunky"! Complex flavours in which the yeast esters are to the front, followed by black pepper and clove. Nice. Good palate, well carbonated but feels natural. Nice beer, but not as exceptional as i thought it was going to be

Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with big, pillowy head that reduces steadily but lasts and lasts. The aroma is yeast and lemon, with an underlying funk. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one here who initially thought this must be skunked in its green bottle. The first taste is barnyard and basement, with lingering bitter decay. Best to plan a long, lingering lunch and keep this close by, perhaps lightly chilled. The funk subsides with aeration, and over an hour or two this hits about every taste note there is: bread and lemon, wheat and pepper, nuts and leaves, banana and clove, bitter, sweet and everything in-between. If you’re really in a hurry, wait 10 minutes and quaff a cold, lemony and piney mouthful. Otherwise, your experience of this beer varies wildly by time, temperature and accompaniment. It rewards patience with variety.

Gelb-orange im Glas. Angenehm komplex in der Nase, Gewürze, Säure, Banane, Trauben. Am Gaumen ebenso. Schöne Kohlensäure, gut.

Poured a straw yellow colour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is rich with yeast and floral and fruity citrus from the hops. Taste is quite fruity with yeast spice. This light bodied brew has good carbonation with a crisp bitter dry finish. Easy drinking when paired with starches and farm poultry.

Very dry and incredibly tasty. Sweet on the front and dry on the back. Great with holiday dinners.

Bottle at The Globe. Hazy orange-amber pour. Big saison-y yeasty aroma with some citrus hops. Taste follows - yeast, saison, pepper, orange peel. Crisp bitter finish. Smooth bubbly palate. Really nice saison - not my favorite style but a great example.

Pours straw colored with a massive head. Taste is classic saison with a moderate but not overdone brett presence. A bit spicy and a top bitter finish with some baking soda flavor I don't like. Strong carb that works well with the flavor. Light tasting for the ABV. Not my favorite style but this is well done.

Pours a hazy straw with a unstoppable massive white head. Aroma is of basement, grapes, wheat, lemon, herbs, and maybe some vinegar. Tastes of light gum, lemon, wheat, herbs and is sweet. Medium body with tingly high carbonation and a dry feel yet refreshing. Hopefully my experience wasn’t altered by a green bottle.

Hazy orange color with a good white medium lasting head. Aroma is fruity, herbal and malty, with some banana hints and slightly hoppy. Taste is hoppy, floral and spicy, with cinnamon and clove. Earthy and slightly hoppy finish.
