Oct 31, 2009 Pours a cloudy brown color with a thin off white head. Aroma was spicy, peppery, a little sour, some nice malt notes. Flavor was similar. A really nice spiciness that was really satisfying. A good sour twinge in the back and a nice malt balance. This was a really nice beer.

Sep 25, 2009 Hazy dark copper, almost brown, with a generous rocky head and excellent lacing. Slightly tart dark fruit and melon aromas support an earthy essence. Spices, cherries and carmelized malt sugars are added to the palate. Wonderfully complex flavor profile. Slick, creamy mouthfeel, plenty of carbonation, and a pleasantly seet malt aftertaste.

Sep 12, 2009 750 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a hazy copper color with a big beige head that has good retention and lacing. The aroma is lightly fruity with raisins, pears, some bread yeast and a bit of booze. The flavor is malts forward with caramel malts, dark fruits, cola and barley. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. The finish is short and dry and leaves the back of my throat a bit numb. Overall: Not what I expect in a Saison, but its still pretty good.

Sep 8, 2009 The appearance of this beer was a nice red color with a fluffy white head lazily floating atop the beer. The smell was a little funk (just a little) and some spices. The taste was good and had some tartness and sourness but not very much. It was also spicy and had a distinct taste that reminded me of watermelon (just barely). This was a pretty decent ale and it hid the alcohol well. Also, at $6 it was a good deal.
