[Can from Kjell bought in Cairo.] Can @ Odense Tasting, Feb 2010. Noisy brew, but it was the best "overseas" beer that eve. Watery and corny.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a clear, golden color, topped with a medium frothy white head. Malty aroma, grainy, not much else. Taste is slightly sweet with mild final bitterness. Slightly metallic as well. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a typical average macro lager.

Sakara Gold was the second of the two beers that I tasted during my brief visit to Egypt. Like Stella Lager is a completely ordinary lager that tastes exactly like a Heineken. Sakara Gold is slightly more foamy than Stella Lager and it’s a bit more hoppy expression. However, only such a small difference that one would hardly find it in a blind tasting.

500ml bottle in Hurghada. Pours gold with a soapy white head. Grainy aroma, with a bit of metal and some malt. Taste is sweet with low bitterness. Better than the unnamed beer that came with the all-inclusive ticket in the hotel.

Bottle. Faint gold pour with no head. Straw, brewing cereal, general boring-ness. Finish is a little off, but not wretchedly so - I was able to finish it. Really wasn’t expecting much; expectations met.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Grainy malt and flowery hop aroma. Perfect appearance with abundant head for a 4% lager. The bitterness is not perfectly clean, oxidized? Hops. Below this bitterness one can taste grainy maltiness. Dry finish. Some astringency from this odd flavor. Not as bad as the scores would suggest.

Shared by phaleslu. Poured clear golden color with a small frothy white head that diminished with little lacing. Light aroma. Light body with a thin texture with soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a light Sweet finish of short duration. Worth having once.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Thanks phaleslu for sharing. Clear golden color. Good off white head. Leaves decent lace, it looks like. Corn, bread, water, kind of funky. Lighter carbonation, kind of soft, bit rough and biting. Some metallic. Awful mild sour taste, light sweet, and bite. This is the fifth in a series of foreign beers we are tasting, and they’re getting worse.
